Hi HenryPeter, yes a very good point and a likely scenario the motor plug can be put in the incorrect way around which will blow the pcb when the drum rotates. Have to say this is unlikely to damage the motor though.

I was supprised to see in your previous post when dismantling the machine that you took the pcb out, did you take carefull note where all the plastic connection plugs went back?. I normally spend ten minuites drawing writting down, photographing and labelling the correct positions the edge...

Nice work. You will need a cross piece as well as trying to recover these cross pieces normally ends in the customer recalling you to the job within the next 6 months. (the bearing seal is in the correct way, its not possilble to put the seal in the incorrect way!) good luck

element Sorry bad news the element has been a obsolete part for years. There is a chance though, I beleive these are the rectangular type elements with white ceramic mounting brackets. Similar elements are available for Croslee style machines which would require some re-working but may fit...

As a previous poster said sounds like the bearings have seized, try forcing the drum around by getting a screwdriver between the pulley wheel and cross pieice and pulling upwards. Sounds crude but this will move the drum if done coorectly. good luck

The induction motor on the ISE/ ASKO gives it the edge over the Miele in my opinion, not a lot in it though.
