1967 Lady Kenmore washer side check valve

Looks very similar to my 1960 Whirlpool, if you find a source for any parts, please let us know. The Bleach should dispense at 4 minutes left in the wash agitation of most (maybe all) cycles. The softener should release exactly when the final deep rinse water starts entering the tub, as the...

Any info on this Kenmore Dryer is appreciated

good thermostat Open 120, Close 105, non-adjustable. It was in my basement! She's up and running again, cycles very low temp on the new thermo. And I installed a new flourescent bulb, all is good. My favorite thing about this drier, besides how wonderfully it works, is the adjustable buzzer...

Retro Catalog Look Back For Today

hmmm For each manufacturer, I would choose the total TOL model and the basement BOL model. The only wringer I'd buy would be the Philco Twin-Amatic. And how about that ABC Spin-O-Matic, no timer at all! Oh, one of each Combo offered too.

nothing to do with clothing or laundry

oh I've saved dozens of appliances through the years, and given extra , working and repaired ones away as freebiees to folks in need. Washers and driers and portable dishwashers and built-in dishwashers can all easily go down the basement steps where I can fix and let them take up space. This...

1968 Grandma had been gone 2 years, but her unmarried daughter still lived in the house: mid-60's model aqua-blue(ish)Hotpoint automatic paired with a Hamilton Gas drier from the early 50's. I remember the tall side door on the right of the clothes door, just like my 1952 or so electric...

    NOS KDS-19

Mine in regular use by previous owner since 1982. When I got it 3 years ago, I spent 10 on a water inlet valve and $65 on newer racks, then recently just $7 and an hour labor on the drain pump impeller. At 37 years old, IT WASHES EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hit the NORMAL WASH button about 9...

    KDS-19 Akron OHIO

John, all good With your instructions and the diagram, it was a pretty easy job. Slight prying to get the impeller off the shaft, slight prying to get the new impeller seated all the way down that shaft, and now it's on its second load of dishes, no leaks underneath so it's time to put back on...
