    Comparing Available Powder Detergents

I finally gave it a shot I accidentally put in a little more than I should the first time but I was very pleased with it! Unlike the Kirkland pods, there were no suds at all which really impressed me. I think I found my new favorite dishwasher detergent:) I still love using Kirkland pods but I...

Do you use heated dry on your dishwasher?

I was off Apparently the insulation is still on after further look. I guess I only saw the insulation get taken off by the technician to get inside the machine.

Do you use heated dry on your dishwasher?

Our sound insulation on the KitchenAid had to be removed after a year or two of owning it because it overheated the dishwasher or caused the motor to burn out, can't remember which was which. But I could barely tell the difference since it's so quiet unlike our Maytag we had before. That being...

    Comparing Available Powder Detergents

I'm about to pick up some Cascade Complete powder this weekend and try out to see how well it does, I've never used powder before in my KitchenAid and I have soft water. Loved the liquid kind but the last jug left some water marks on the glasses. And the pods were foaming a bit more than the...

    Switching back to using powder

I rarely use cold wash, the only times I would is whenever I'd wash out some vacuum outer bags with using Kirkland powder. Warm wash for darks and hot for whites. My parents used to use Cheer but still kept some of the empty boxes around so that's what got me interested, my mom said Tide worked...

Do you use a Rinse Aid?

Nope I did at one point until it caused my dishwasher to leak. Thankfully I have soft water.

    Switching back to using powder

Well it's the new year and one of my new years resolutions is going old school again. I've had a good run with using liquid laundry detergent for a long time but the last few jugs I've used didn't turned out the way I was expecting. With some of my favorite ones now discontinued like Tide...

Being a vacuum collector, enthusiast, and technician myself. There's lots of vacuums and brands I wish they'd bring back. My personal favorite being Panasonic.

    Questions on two KitchenAid dishwashers

I have a KitchenAid KUDS30IVBL3 since 2010 and I love it! I'd try to fix it up for as long as I possibly can but if I had to replace it, I'd love to get another KitchenAid or something that's similar to it. My grandfather has one of the newer TOL KitchenAids, I don't personally care much for...

To Rinse or Not Rinse - Dishwasher Story

I should thank the expert because he convinced me to always rinse the dishes out, never use Finish products or get a Bosch dishwasher:)

If Speed Queen made a Dishwasher

IF they made dishwashers, I'd imagine they'd be as big as the commercial Hobart ones for example. But honestly, why should they? Unlike most other companies, I really like that Speed Queen is only focused on making laundry products. That's what I think makes them special and one of the reasons...

    Milnor E-P Plus Gear Guardian

I didn't remove mine and there was no damage done inside the drum. I was confident it was going to work after using the washer many times before. Still better than washing them by hand or buying replacement outer bags.

    Milnor E-P Plus Gear Guardian

Happy new year folks! I'd love to learn more about this old washer my mom uses to wash firefighter gear at her work. She says it's 30 years old at least. I used it to clean out some vacuum cleaner bags and filters I was servicing today like these NSS M1 PIG outer bags for example. Overall, I was...

Finally got powdered tide plus downy! Anyone else seen this around still?

Used to smell like back in the day? That just caught my attention, I'll have to try some now especially since I'm making a switch back over to powder anyways. Otherwise I would've stuck with Tide Mountain Spring cause that's the same smell that was in the original liquid detergent which I love...

    Speed Queen Washer AWN412

This is why I use only white bath towels and wear alot of white clothes, so I can use hot water and bleach to help prevent any smells inside the washer. Regardless of what, I think these should still be serviced and deep cleaned every 5-10 years.

    Their SQ FL Washer Died!

To SQ's defense The warranty already expired, this looks like the third machine I've read it's happened out of like hundreds if not thousands of these machines sold not to mention they're already discontinued, and they offered a discount which is still better than full price. Regardless of...

    Mounting Water Valves to Bracket

I'd be curious to see how much water would flow out of the yellow valves, maybe not a huge difference. That's one of the reasons why I like using the warm wash setting best on my Kenmore 90 Series and on my cousin's GE because not only it fills up faster but the looks of the water flow is more...

    LG Washer/Dryer 5 year Update

Oh and another thing I like about our LG, this morning our power went out for a split second and the washer already had a cycle going so it too went out. When I powered it back on, there's a PF code meaning power failure but if you press the start button, it remembers and continues the cycle it...
