Hi, I have just bought a cheap ($1) Miele steam oven. The reason it was so cheap is the outer door glass is broken. Searching the web, I have not found a genuine replacement however, it wont be cheap. I'd expect the genuine replacement would be more than $400 (And this would be the last resort)...

In regards to software updates, I know there is one for foam escaping out of the dispenser drawer for some models. There are updates also for crease reduction on some models and additional programs (again for some models) I know the technicians can calibrate the pressure sensor (zero it out)...

Does the machine wash with the correct level of water? The software is very robust. I would check hoses etc. When they become blocked, it causes problems with draining and spinning. Here is a video where the owner found a blocked "air trap". Check the hoses that run from the pump too.

If it is dead after plugging in No lights etc, I would check pcb. There seems to be plenty of stuff on the internet about Electrolux dryer pcb's and their repair.......

You can always remove The ball valve at the bottom. You can get a few fingers inside. You can remove the heating element to have a peek inside.

Tell me about the drain hose It looks to be set up in a kitchen from the photo. Does it connect under a sink? I wonder if the water cannot leave the drain hose fast enough to cause the chugging sound or if the non-return vent valve (and hose) may be gummed up.

Does it not depend on the radius of the drum? A larger radius drum doesn't have to spin as fast to generate large g-forces on the clothes. I find 1600rpm leads to wrinkly clothes but 800rpm takes two days on the clothes horse to dry.

Sand trapped in swimmers is difficult to move It really does get trapped in the elasticated fibres. It is also more tricky when its the shell-type sand as opposed to white sandy-beach type sand. Maybe washing with a full load may help as there will be more items to rub against. @henene4 Why...
