Best Microwave Ever Built For Home Use

But that Amana JET19V has a rotating antenna. For that price I will skip having an experience with it. My Panasonic combo was less than 10% of that.

Tyler and Todd’s new kitchen appliances

Yes Pete, these new appliances brighten up the kitchen very nicely together with the painting they did. Tyler and Todd have a lot of followers, they started on a trip through the USA after giving up their jobs. They did well with real estate. When covid came along they bought a piece of land...

Tyler and Todd’s new kitchen appliances

I have been watching Tyler and Todd’s Youtube channel since the beginning. This week they installed new kitchen appliances in their cabin. On the cutlery rack it says Cafe so I presume they are GE appliances.

Best Microwave Ever Built For Home Use

I prefer Panasonic microwaves with inverter technology. That works much better than cycling on and off on full power. You hardly see the combination of rotating antenna. I prefer a rotating antenna over a turntable.

Whirlpool coin op equipment in Europe

“ If am correct that Bosch TT like one offered by Miele and others was "automatic". That is machines went through a complete program then one transferred wash to spin basket for extraction. Thus no saving of wash or rinse water for next cycle such as with a Hoover or other semi-automatic TTs.”...

Whirlpool coin op equipment in Europe

I came across an American washing machine on a campsite a few times. One was on a campsite in Budapest, that was a commercial Maytag.

Whirlpool coin op equipment in Europe

After WW2 American appliances made it to Europe, at least to the Netherlands. In 1947 the first automatic washing machine that arrived in Rotterdam was a Bendix. Here are two threads with Dutch ads from the past. You can find some ads for American appliances there...

    My Detergents Arrived

I have loads of experience with a lot of microwaves. From that experience I have my preferences. You have different preferences. Accept that.

    My Detergents Arrived

Chet, I can’t remember saying something about burning food in a microwave. I prefer several levels because reheating food often works better at a lower level. Thawing things requires even a lower level, otherwise you will be cooking the food before it has thawed completely. BTW I dislike...

    My Detergents Arrived

Chet, No offense, but you have been a member here for over 11 years. I am flabbergasted that you missed all that in all those years. You do know what a “Bobload” is?

    Miele Novotronic W1986 Washer & T8003 Dryer

The washer is one of the most desirable ones sold on the American market. The dryer is much newer than the washer.

Pink 1959 Frigidaire imperial washer dryer set

Beautiful machines! One wonders though why these were placed in storage. Sean, you’re very off topic. Now if it were a General Motors car…. lol

Wow Bosch looking to buy Whirlpool!

Years ago Whirlpool patented a design for an American sized topload H-axis washing machine. But we never saw the end of it.

Bosch toploaders are relabeled Whirlpool/Indesit machines.

Bosch weighs offer for appliance maker Whirlpool

I guess things vary rather much between the European countries. Overhere in the Netherlands the second best sold washing machine is an Indesit. Hotpoint isn’t even available here.

Bosch weighs offer for appliance maker Whirlpool

Whirlpool and Indesit are the two biggest names here in Europe. Whirlpool bought Philips appliances in the past to increase their market share in Europe. Now it looks like Bosch wants a bigger percentage of the American market. Unfortunately that was the end of the very innovative Philips brand.

    Washplate/impeller. When and by whom?

“And if it did not originate in north America, when did it cross the pond?” This quote gave me the idea you wanted to know a bit more than that.

    Washplate/impeller. When and by whom?

You will have to go way back for the first machines with wash plates/pulsators. In Europe Hoover had one, but on the side of the tub. AEG had machines with one on the bottom. We’re talking machines now before automatic washers were introduced. Asia had impeller machines too. See here for more...
