    And some more 'new' toys....

I spotted an ad on the local Marketplace for a Frigidaire Compact 30 range and the seller had also listed the Kenmore dishwasher so I decided to go for both. Then the seller contacted me about an Inglis Citation washer and dryer set. In avocado green. I comandeered my contractor friend and...

    Some new toys...

It's been a while, but I bravely ventured into the US to retrieve some vintage appliances from upstate NY. A 1967 Frigidaire Custom Deluxe washer, a 1967 Deluxe "customized" dryer that looks like a Custom Deluxe but isn't, and a 1969 Westinghouse dishwasher that is, in fact, a Canadian Eaton...

    The Almighty Pulsator!

Wow, that's amazing Robert! I _need_ to get the 60 Deluxe into active service to show off the new agitator rings I got from you last year.

    GE Presents: Quiet Trash - 1969 - 16mm Film

This was the exact model of GE Compactor that my parents had in our Pointe-Claire kitchen, purchased in 1975! I remember in later years, the trash bucket had a bad habit of detaching from the bracket on the door and getting stuck inside the compactor. I learned how to dismantle it on a number...

    anyone have a wiring diag.

Pete, I don't have a specific manual for this machine, however I am pretty sure that I have a wiring diagram in a GE Repair-Master for dishwashers. I'll have to get back to the other house to get to it, but I'll post if I can find anything useful. There is a pressure switch in these impeller...

International Wash-In - Canada meets Australia

My hubby and I have spent most of this winter in Australia and before we head back home to Ogden, QC, I had the chance to meet up with Natahan (brisnat81) yesterday evening and with Leon (mayfan69) today. First up - some goodies from Nathan's collection...

    Western Auto dishwasher

Damn... I'm in New Zealand and it's in Texas. Figures... I may not go back to Canada anyway. Hubby's gonna have a LOT of fun crushing my collection if that happens!

How did these KA dishwashers get water to the top rack?

Funny coincidence... I was just having a conversation about why my folks picked a GE Potscrubber over a KitchenAid Regency dishwasher back in 1978. The salesperson at Eaton's was pushing the KitchenAid (it cost more so he'd have gotten a few bucks more in commission). He also said the...

Maytag WU202 - where to find parts?

Damn... I had a WU404 that was finally no longer repairable a few years ago and it got scrapped 'cause no one seemed to want the parts...

    Oh My!

Geez... it figures that something like this turns up in my Canadian 'strike zone' the year I'm wintering in Australia... Hope someone else can save it!

    Kenmore Single Cycle Dryer

Reply #4 That 56 Whirlpool is the 2nd fastest dryer in the collection - I always found it dried evenly, too. It has been a daily driver in the past and when I get back from Australia in April, I'm planning on bringing it (and the matching washer) back into daily service after my 57 GE dryer...

    Kenmore Single Cycle Dryer

It's not a good picture, but my 1956 Whirlpool Imperial dryer is technically a single-cycle model with only timed drying but with temperature control options.

    Portable GE disposall disposer

I have one. I only tried out the motor on it; never actually used it. I really do have to make a point of trying it one of these days.

    Picture of the day...

The 'Y' in the model number (1250Y) indicates this is a 1964 model. WAY fancier than my Canadian 64 GE washer!

    1950-1952 Hotpoint Dishwasher for sale

I am unfortunately spending the rest of the winter in Australia... otherwise I would have been seriously interested in this! I've done the run from Ogden, QC into New Jersey more than once to save a machine.

    GE wall cabinet refrigerator

I have one in daily use in my home in Ogden, QC. Mine's a 1956 but alas, the compressor gave out in 2023. I had it replaced and it's still chugging along.

The status of the Ogden Laundry

moving the appliances out before the work Fear not, the fellow who is doing the work is A: familiar with how to move vintage appliances B: has helped me pick up appliances on more than one occasion (including the 64 GE washer and dryer set) and C: now owns a vintage Maytag set that I...
