Inglis Refrigerator Engineering - 16mm Film

Depends on if the spill got into seams or shelf edges. Use a vinegar/baking soda solution. Or put baking soda in a sachet type thing in your fridge.

    Console stereos: 1958-84

A good youtube video to watch on this is 9 vintage speakers audiophile hate by Skylabs audio in Demoine Iowa. I don't think Advent made a poor sounding speaker period! The Kabuki genera suffered from high subsonic bass, and amps. back then didn't have as good of a damping factor. This meant...

    Console stereos: 1958-84

Oh, about the "boomy" but muffled mid range and treble sound; It wasn't only a symptom of the early solid state designs. From the late 70's through the early millenium, speakers made by the Japanese companies with 15 inch woofers, and three and four mid's and tweeters in light shallow cabinets...

    Console stereos: 1958-84

Maybe that's what I meant Matt. I've only seen photos. As fir stacking vinyl, that still holds true with many opinions. Maybe it's different for Lacquer records.

Matt, this is the first I've ever seen a Zenith VM component changer. Same 2 G tonearm as consoles had. Technics also made one with the buttons in the platter. Rare to find a platter not al dryl rotted with the correct holes.

The ADC accurate 400 is also remote control.

My new Technics SL 1500-C has three speeds. You select 78 rpm by holding 33 and 45 buttons together. Some record changers and single play automatics had small buttons in the platter each at 7", 10", and 12". Whichever record size was on it, that's where the tonearm drops. I think new Dual's...

Sears Countdown at T-minus 5 Stores

Turbomatic ,was it Arlans, or Arlens? Allen Park, Michigan had one behind a Sears. I remember some of the clothing displayed folded up on tables or in boxes. Simpson -Sears in Canada wasn't absorbed with Eaton's?? Both are gone. Matt, I only remember the Brady's going shopping to the S&H...

    Whirlpool Ultrawash Powerclean Question

We had the Whirlpool Gold model 940 I believe from 1999-2000. It performed well, but was no Quiet Partner. By 2009, it wouldn't change from Normal cycle. We used it two more years. It only cost $400 new.

Quite an inventory Dave! What console did you get from that yard sale? Budget brands were Capehart, Electrophonic, Loydds, XAM (E.J Korvette), Lafayette, and Soundesign. Many had the Garrard record changer.

    Console stereos: 1958-84

I wonder what furniture company-(ies) made consoles for RCA? I think that it was Mainly Drexel for Zenith. Magnavox?, etc. Other companies who made mid century and Danish modern were Basset, Broyhill, American Martinson, etc.

Wow, that RCA hutch! Right up my aunt's alley. She loved that style, but they got a spinet piano for the family instead of a stereo.

    Samsung 240 volt Vented Combo!

I do the same with one queen sheet, and 4 pillow cases weekly. A 26 minute quick was on hot with one rinse is enough.

    Console stereos: 1958-84

Zenith Allegro consoles were everywhere. I think the top end Pioneer Centrex table unit sounded better. Than the Allegro wedge too. I think the Magnavox Astrosonic was better. If I could find a Zenith Danish modern mid 60s with the 2g tonearm and the wooden directable speaker grids, I'd buy it...

    Samsung 240 volt Vented Combo!

If I select steam on our Samsung front loader, it only begins with cold to help dissolve the detergent for 20 seconds. Only hot after until full. If I use normal without steam, you can hear the hot and cold mix valve alternating. Quick wash can be medium hot with no steam. It doesn't add cold...

    Combo stereos 1969-84

My folks had a 19 inch about 1982. Dad said it was by Sharp. 12 button electronic tuner, woodgrain trim. The right side with the tuner and volume were was set back a bit from the screen frame. The entire front had an arc.
