John, can you recommend a product for the clear coat? Do I spray just affected areas or the whole thing? 

^ Oh ok. I'm not willing to do that. I just need to get more info on the clear coat option. Wondering what the results look like.    I see some of the beautiful sets from the 60s/70s that have been beautifully restored. I just wonder what they do in regards etching.

Bummer. Oh well. I will probably just leave it alone. Should I use John's method, would I just spray a little of this stuff over the damaged areas? Any prep needed?  ...

I tried baking soda and peroxide already... no results. I'll have to live with it. What exactly is "etching" just so I know for future reference?

The 3D compound was unsuccessful in removing the stains. On a positive note it did make things nice and shiny. I guess I have to live with this or do the clear coat method.

When I rub my fingernail over it, I can feel a little texture, but it pretty much seems etched on there, like you said. What is this? I notice it on my other machine as well.

I don't want to damage the porcelain, but there appears to be some hard water deposits or perhaps detergent that has sat too long and embedded into the finish. All purpose cleaner and a good scrub with a microfiber towel didn't seem to work. What is the safest way to remove this? I tried my best...

Well i put my new OEM Whirlpool rollers in there and its much better. They also spin freely with my finger, unlike the old ones. I still hear a rhythmic sound, but its not bad. You guys be the judge.

Intermittent Agitation When the knob for "Intermittent Agitation" is turned ON does it only work when set to the delicates/handwashables cycle? I'm curious if its set to Normal if it would do medium intermittent agitation as well. Did this model have any type of sound proofing installed?

warm rinse I use it all the time. I think its very effective, but many will disagree. I think the reason you are seeing more suds is become the water is able to break down the detergent better. I'm not sure a warm rinse may be effective in the summer months, but it definitely is here in the...

I also swapped out the drum with an identical one and notice this rhythmic thumping sound.
