Someone I support has been using the Lenor Unstoppables, his house stank of the stuff, was pretty overpowering. As for detergent, you can't beat Persil Bio powder and Bio Small and Mighty. No need for stain removers at all then.

Persil Duo caps I didn't find the scent too overpowering ( smells the same as the single chamber Persil capsules ). I was disappointed in the performance though. Persil Small & Mighty Bio performs much better and is cheaper, mind you it does have more enzymes than the three that are in the duo...

I really like the new Beko's ( there was a thread on them here a couple of months back) but not in black am afraid. Am not a fan of coloured appliances. The new LG's are really nice too although am not too sure how effective the spray rinsing would be when turbo wash is selected.

The bath and shower analogy was used by Zanussi when they first introduced the Jetsystem in the late 80's I do like these LG's but one rinse in a F/L? no thanks.

Well, think of the production costs of building each individual washer. In practice I fail to see how this would work.

I think people are getting a bit confused...... Ebac have done this as an exercise in customer research to see what features people want in a washing machine. Am sure if you were able to pick all the features to make your own customised washer you'd be talking thousands of pounds for the top...

Well, I know the Ariel pods we have in the UK dissolve quicker than their previous incarnation ( Ariel liquitabs )which could often migrate to the door boot.

Gary The ground floor flats have their own little garden that are supposed to rotary airers in but the old lady downstairs doesn't have one so she uses the lines which are meant for the 1st, 2nd ( me ) and 3rd floor flats. Thankfully the folks on one and three don't use the lines.

Malcolm, I've quite enjoyed seeing this thread again, it's been funny seeing friends machines that have long since been moved on elsewhere. I'd forgotten you had a GE Harmony.

If you want a washer that's going to last then I highly recommend a Miele, however if you get bored of your washers after a while it's maybe not for you :-)
