Nice Commercial SQ W&D Set Going Cheap - Residential Set-up

Why would someone get rid of a setup like that? They probably want to put some stupid mega capacity Samsung or lg bs there.

    The Kenmore name

Last I heard, speculation was Sears Holdings will sell the names to someone willing to keep things going the way they are. That being said, I could see Sears holdings liquidating all of their real estate holdings and just keeping the names going and finding distribution channels like mom and...

    new dishwasher recommendation

*calmly deletes his previous post* A dishwasher that is used PROPERLY shouldn't have buildup like that, but it DOES happen. It is not an every day occurrence though. The most common problem we see with these types of systems is stickers left on things. They get past the blades and stick to...

    new dishwasher recommendation

A properly designed filtration system is self-flushing. A disposer-based system takes all the debris and chops it up then redistributes it throughout the machine. There is a reason only one company still sells a metal bladed chopper assembly. I pull my filter once a month to check it and I...

    new dishwasher recommendation

You're right, having a removable filter to clean is much less convenient than a chopper assembly.

    new dishwasher recommendation

If you get a dishwasher with a decent filtration system, the filtration system will handle non-rinsed dishes ... That being said, decent filtration doesn't exist under 699. Also, in regards to alternating wash arms... Dishwashers are mandated to not use more than a certain amount of water. That...

It's That Time Of Year Again! Who's Cooking And What ?

We haven't fully decided what the plan is for Thanksgiving. Mom said she's not making a full meal, just a chicken and sweet potatoes with marshmallows. We were told if we wanted anything else, we'd have to make it and bring. Mom has never liked roasted turkey, so we have never had turkey. She...

Vintage frigidaire double wall oven 24 inch - $100 (Cresco)

Did Frigidaire make these ovens under sears name as well? I am fairly certain this is the version of sears double 24" grandma had for 50 ish years.

I'd have to look again on the floor but the 520 doesn't have the spray mounted to the top of the tub.

    Are gas wall heaters safe?

So I was checking these out cause I'm curious. Are they a ceramic heater or are they heating a flu/heat exchanger?

    Miele Dishwasher slow leak

This is making me think of what this entire forum is about. Miele tests their product to last the equivalent of 20 years... That doesn't state that they guarantee their product to be repair free for 20 years. We have customers that have 40 year old Maytags that they have us come do yearly...

    Miele Dishwasher slow leak

The new Miele's have a dual water valve setup inside the dishwasher instead of the WaterProof system the true German machines have. Bosh for quite a while had a similar flood proof setup that you couldn't get the gaskets replaced for. I've attached a picture of the new dual valve inlet. That...

    Loud sound from Kitchenaid dishwasher

I've thought I could sneak by with replacing the chopper assemblies and the impellers.... Every one I've done has leaked... It is easier to purchase a sump with the motor attached and call it a day... I wish I would have done that in the first place on the last two and now I've got to go back...

    Washing pillow mishap

I wash my MyPillow pillows once a month. I drool when I sleep. LOL You should see the looks on customers faces when I say that... and then its like.. yea, I can relate.. They wash pretty nice in the neptune I'm using. Loved washing them in the Miele.... I wash two at a time so things don't...

    Miele Dishwasher slow leak

If you are going to just let them throw the dishwasher away, would you let me find a shipper and let me take it off your hands?

    Miele Dishwasher slow leak

Wow.. so did you deal with a dealer that is self servicing or just miele corporate? That Part is $140 for the waterproof system, 10656630. You take the dishwasher out, take the TWO screws holding the drain pan off, un hook the wiring harness, the 3/8" compression fitting and the clamp holding...

How much effort to maintain new dishwashers vs old?

Tolivac, We didn't really have a lot of issues with Bosch dishwashers until we started installing units made here. As far as I know, the 800 series and Benchmark Series are still made in Germany. That is generally what we sell because we haven't had a lot of issues over the years with them.

How much effort to maintain new dishwashers vs old?

I am in support of new dishwashers with filtration systems instead of chopper assemblies. I'll get it out of the way, I will always recommend a Miele dishwasher over anything that is made. There are no ifs about it. I have yet to be disappointed by them. https://goo.gl/photos/McdPVWrhPmCv5U7d7...
