Thank you for putting that video together. Quite enjoyable! And here I always thought Betty Furness was just a Westinghouse gal!

    1974 Lady Kenmore Selective Dialing

Mark, happy to see that you are still enjoying those LK's! So happy they landed in a good home and have been so lovingly restored more than where I got them to be. Next time I'm in SoCal (I don't get to Liverpool or Madrid very often!) would love to visit.

WORST pre-1980 agitator design ever made??

Austin was amazing! I never met him in person but did reach out to him once when I was having trouble with my mid'70s WP washer. He was extremely kind and helpful and is dearly missed.

Kenmore Calypso Use and Care Video

Glenn, thank you very much for sharing your videos! I always stayed away from any washers made after the mid-80s so thanks for the enlightenment! Cheers, Todd

Kenmore Calypso Use and Care Video

How much water filled into that thing? Didn't look like enough to me. And I can't believe how much was stuffed into the machine. Not a fan of these new-fangled things but is/was it very effective?

My new to me Black Kenmore set.

Beautiful set! Am assuming the washer is direct drive?

    Frigidaire POD Mar 29

We've all seen this ad before, but today I noticed a couple things with the washer: the lint filter appears to be missing, and the lid isn't lying flat like it should. I've only had a few Frigidaire washers, but I do remember the lid always laid flat. Just my observation.

    1974 Copper Tone Lady Kenmore

Very nice! Never saw a Lady Kenmore with the straight vane agitator before. Thanks for sharing pics!

Who was the largest and most advanced technologically in your opinion?

And wasn't it Whirlpool who had the first U.S. top-loader perforated tub along with the neutral drain?

Vintage Frigidaire Laundry Center In UK

Interesting model machine at that. No agitub. Looks to be more like a Gibson than Frigidaire..?

Almost 40-year-old Maytag A506 “slowing down…” keep repairing or time to retire?

My recently acquired Maytag is starting to do the same thing. Is it difficult to change the oil in these things? I've never attempted it because I thought I had read on a previous post that it's either next to impossible and/or not worth trying it?

Lint removal in a vintage washer

I believe Norge was the first to come up with the "burpolator" lint removal idea, along with the fabric softener dispenser wheel. I'm sure one of the experts here will chime in to support and/or correct me on this..!

    Norge wringer washer date?

Wish I Could Help... I'm a huge fan of Norge washing machines. Would it be too much trouble to ask if you could post a photo of the machine?

A 20 year old dream turns into reality

Absolutely stunning! What a wonderful and beautiful collection. That '55 Norge kinda looks familiar..?! I love living here in Hawai'i, but lately I've been trying to talk my husband into moving back to the mainland (looking at Illinois and Alabama) so I can access vintage machines and a basement!
