We had a great time catching up and of course did a couple loads of laundry. Still much work to do fixing up the guest house and arranging my collection a little better. All in the hopes of having a more official wash-in next year some time!

Looks like turquoise Kenmore dryer, Hamilton dryer, and Maytag wringer washer.

Bradfordwhite and I will salute our East Coast counterparts tomorrow evening with a mini-wash-in here in NorCal!

Signature Arrived — Not so Mint… So my friend delivered my new addition. He had it on a little flatbed trailer and unfortunately didn’t have it secured well enough and it fell off the trailer at 55mph. Thankfully he had it wrapped up in moving blankets so limited damage…except the wringer...

You are all too funny! So here’s the scenario: I got this machine (with matching dryer) a few years ago. I was told it didn’t spin. When I plugged it in, it sounded fine, just wouldn’t engage into spin. Upon inspection of the wigwag and cam bar, the bar was bent and the thing that slides...

I have a ‘74 Lady K that had a broken wigwag which I recently replaced. Now all I get is buzzing when trying to engage into spin. On top of that, now it only buzzes during the fill cycle (and the water is turned on!). Any ideas?

A very good friend of mine picked up an early 60s Montgomery Ward Signature wringer washing machine for me, complete with user manual. The machine is in mint condition and will be arriving this Saturday! Photos to follow.

I had the same problem with my ‘85 Whirlpool and I replaced the wig wag and that took care of the problem.

So which manufacturer was the first to offer 18-lb capacity and in what year? I want to say Norge was the first but I’m partial..!

Absolutely stunning! The colors are jaw-dropping. The machine makes a delightful sound and looks to have decent agitation/turnover. Thank you for sharing the videos! Maybe another of the dryer?
