    WEHT "Washer Protection Agents"

old Wisk used to be like that Mom used to use it to treat collars and such.  She would do it on the top of the washer and it was a b*tch to get that stuff off the top of the machine!   Now she is using Persil in her GE front loader and has no need for additives.  She's come a long way baby! ...

    P.O.D. 01.18.11 A rare treat!

The BOL washer with the plastic control panel/backsplash <span style="font-family: helvetica;">looks a lot like a BOL Kenmore we had in the 70's.  I HATED that washer, but my dad wanted to save money so he talked mom into that one.  Was so happy when it finally died in the 1980's and we...

    I hate Recipe Chain Letters....

As a rule I don't like chain letters - don't feel the need to pester my friends with unwanted stuff to do. Still, everyone likes a good Recipe now and then and since I already typed this up I thought I would share. Please feel free to add your own favorites to this thread if you choose to...

    New phonograph toy from Ohio

Here is a photo of the amp/power supply with the cover on it There is also a safty interlock which prevents line current from going to the machine, unless the door covering the terminal strip is closed and latched as I *think* there are some hefty voltages there that could be dangerous.

    New phonograph toy from Ohio

I dont't know of Shenandoah restorations... The back bracket is a very easy repair - I did it myself on mine and I am not what anyone would call handy with tools. The arm itself is brass with a very thin gold wash on it. Unless it is badly worn, I would just gently clean it with mild soap and...

    New phonograph toy from Ohio

I usually use steel needles with no trouble. Just make sure the ones you have are really "new" and have never been used. If a used needle is removed and reinserted into either of the pickups it will cause record damage. I usually use newly made steel needles or ones that are still sealed...
