I actually did take my aerator adapter with me, and nothing they had would fit onto it. I could have got a different adapter, but then depending on which appliance I wanted to use, I would have had to screw in the appropriate aerator into my faucet.

Well, I haven't had any luck finding anything that would work for what I want to do. Yogitunes, I found the adapter you pictured in reply #6, but it won't snap to my aerator on my sink. My aerator is like the one linked below. So it looks like my best bet would be to find an actual unicouple...

If I'm not mistaken, this looks like a KDS-20. I don't know if the KDS-20 uses the same drain valve as the KDS-18, but on my 18, you can really hear the snap of the drain valve when it opens and closes. Do you remember hearing a snapping sound when your dishwasher was working and draining...
