On a side note... Burnt a hot cross bun in the toaster yesterday evening and the resulting smoke was practically toxic, Although its cleared now the smell is still pretty bad, Have the windows and doors open its a pretty pleasant spring day anyone know of a sure fired way to rid the awful odour?

1450 rpm spin dryer The only one I knew of was the Bendix from the 70-80's most other spinners here were 2,800 rpm only Hotpoint made a faster spinner at 3,100 rpm Just out of curiosity were Caravelle a store brand?

@sipj Picture3 of your last set shows the back of the dryer and if you look above the heater there is a metal lever with a threaded screw and on there is I believe a small bakelite block which is also threaded that travels up and down the screw pressing the metal lever as it reaches the end...

I think the original door was white to match the dials...

Yes its rebadged it was made at a time when Hotpoint could not keep up with demand and so had them made in Italy for a while .

@jason Hello if you look through this thread there is an advert for your spin dryer and its got a 2,800 rpm spin.

OK I have to ask.... What is the Pants model what makes it different to other WW ?? Have never heard of such a machine before 😀😀
