Power connections My mum's old Whirlpool Chancellor stove/oven has the option of 2 x 10 amp circuit connections, or a jumper to allow one 20 amp connection. My grandparents also had a New World stove/oven with the same option. Must have been an aussie 1950s/1960s thing.

Both american and european made KDS17 panels exactly the same.

Update Realised it's not a separate piece - so looking for the control panel trim as a whole piece.

Heater element In the bottom of the outer tub. 2400 watts at 240 volts.

Thanks for the help. This machine has a concrete filled porcelain coated steel balance ring. All in tact, nothing missing. No sediment tube. Will check tub installation.

Repair All I did was repair a large rust hole in the outer tub, but to do so removed the agitator and inner tub.

Hi - I have a 1968 Simpson fluid drive (similar to Speed Queens of same era) which has what seems to be an off centre tub. On spin, with nothing in it, it causes quite severe vibrations which causes the whole machine to 'walk' somewhat on the floor. I have had the tub/agitator shaft out for...

Please STOP using acronyms. What is POD, what is AMP, BD, TL, FL etc, etc.

Doesn't the original load by the end of the wash cycle end up being in 'dirty' water. Not sure how using that water for a second load is any different to the first load being in 'dirty' water. Besides, the dirt is in suspension with the soap. And will do that for more dirt from the next load(s)...
