    STTP in Washer

Thanks Launderess! I have it stored in a Rubbermaid container as well and it's fine in the container but once added to the washer it turns into a hard clump. I must have been sold an inferior or perhaps imitation product? Maybe it's actually TSP? I'm getting a new Miele in 13 days so perhaps...

    STTP in Washer

Is STPP supposed to clump? I purchased some a while ago from Amazon and it clumps pretty badly when water is added. Is that normal?

    Which Miele W1?

Thanks Ralph! That's great to know the T1 works so well for you! I'm sure I will like the dryer very much. Across the internet, it is mostly very well regarded. My current dryer would take at least 4 or 5 hours to get my pillows dry. I previously washed and dried two king-sized pillows in one...

    Which Miele W1?

Thanks everyone and especially Jerrod for your help! I am very excited to announce I ordered the WXR860/TXR860 set yesterday! They are scheduled to be installed on December 4th which can't come soon enough! Unfortunately I had to get the regular stacking kit as the others were out of stock. I...

    Which Miele W1?

Wow, thanks Jerrod! You have been extremely helpful! I never would have thought to use the table linen program for sheets. I was just looking at my down pillows today when I was changing my sheets and they could use a wash. Not sure if your pillows are down or not but I was wondering how long...

    Which Miele W1?

Jerrod, I'm glad you never had that water inlet issue. What cycles do you typically use? Do you know if the washer reaches the set temp during most cycles?

    Which Miele W1?

Ralph, thanks for the reply! It's great you like your set and they have been problem free. I would also be getting the outlet adapter for them to plug into. I would stack them and didn't consider the drawer. I'll have to look into that. I'm glad you mentioned the dryer because that doesn't get...

    Whirlpool WFW6620HW washer

Surge Protector? Sorry to hear of your washer woes! Do you happen to have your washer plugged into a surge protector? Whirlpool seems to have some serious issues with their control boards failing. I wonder if they are susceptible to power fluctuations and if using a surge protector would help?

    Which Miele W1?

Thanks for your replies. Henrik, unfortunately the LG won't work because I don't have an extra power outlet in the closet. I was looking at Beko. They seem nice and have a powerful heater. And the Asko's are nice. For both the Beko and Asko I just wish there were more reviews and videos. There...

    Which Miele W1?

I am researching compact washers and dryers to replace my unitized Frigidaire laundry center. I much prefer front loaders and unfortunately the way my closet is set up I need to go to a compact set. And I am limited to one 240 volt outlet in the closet. If it weren't for those limitations, I'd...

My new LG 4000 series washer and dryer

Thanks for the explanation Mike. What does the steam button do?

My new LG 4000 series washer and dryer

Is there an advantage to use the normal cycle with the temp set to extra hot vs. using the sanitary cycle? And does the steam option just extend the wash time on those extra hot settings?

This one appears to be an updated version of the ones at your facility. https://www.appliancesconnection.com/speed-queen-awn432s.html

    New Bosch Dishwasher Model #SHPM78Z54N

Water never enters zeolite chamber. The fan and heating element turn during the wash to recharge/dry out the crystals. During the dry cycle, just the fan turns on and the crystals heat themselves up as they absorb moisture. My SIL has a crystal dry dishwasher and they love it.

    Frigidaire?

unreliable! I've had two Frigidaire dishwashers and each had the main wash pump fail within the first five years. Never again!

    Maytag Dishwasher MDB8959SKB

Top Rack Thanks Bob! I didn't realize there was only one wash tube on the top rack. This video shows the rack in action and the sprayers are stationary.

    Maytag Dishwasher MDB8959SKB

I would double-check but I think the sprayers on the top rack of the Maytag do not rotate like in the Kitchenaid.

    Kenmore Dishwasher

I agree those D&M Kenmores were great! We had a 7032 growing up in harvest gold. That thing was a beast and would clean anything and everything you could fit in it. It was running all the time and we had zero issues. The little blower inside made everything bone dry at the end of the cycle too...

    Calling combo52, come in combo52

Wow, those sure are gorgeous machines! It even looks like the sides are stainless steel! Now if SQ would get a heater in that washer and upgrade the dryer to have steam like all their other dryers, they'd be perfect!
