The weight of the range is supported by the countertop. There should be 4 thumb screws from underneath the cooktop that screw up into the countertop to secure it. The 48” cable should be long enough to allow removal without disconnecting the wire. I’d find something to set it on. Like a wooden box?

Except The KD-17 series were the portable models that changed from the cabinet panels to a wrap-around cabinet that remains in place when converted. You can tell by looking at the rear corners and see the wraparound construction.

it had feet on the bottom on the sides of the access panel that would pop out when you opened the door to keep it from tipping over when a loaded rack of dishes was rolled out. no other dishwasher did that, especially kitchenaids! this was a serious infraction and i hated that! IIRC...
