Having used my Maytag A606 for the last 16 years, I find that the filter does a fine job on short hairs, but not on long hairs.

Shame? The shame should have happened back in the 1980s when GE's appliance division fell apart.   GE appliance quality couldn't have possibly been any worse than it was back when Haier bought them out 5 years ago.

Full-size Fords and Chevys in the mid to late 1960s are subject to frame rot. That LTD looks worthy, but you need to climb under it with a ball-peen hammer and make sure the frame is solid. Replacing frame rails is no fun.
