    Indesit Innex New Range

I saw these on their website a couple weeks ago, interesting concept but I wonder how many people will abuse the Push & Wash feature?  The only thing that seems to be a step down to me is the lack of extra rinse options (a function such as Anti Allergy rinse such as on the Ultimas would be...

    Vanish or Oxi Clean

I would imagine a 60*C wash with a biological detergent would suffice anyway, without having to resort to hygiene additives.  Hot water and soap will kill most germs.   A cost-effective alternative would be to use a tiny bit of Dettol or Zoflora in the final rinse.  If you have access to a...

    New Candy Aquamatic! +other changes

Glenfield, Euronics stores are independent retailers, Euronics is the name given to the buying group and is a franchise, much like Spar or Nisa corner shops.   Have you got a link to the local press article about the place settings?  Would certainly be an interesting read, especially for a...

    Vanish or Oxi Clean

Glenfield, why don't you use plain biological powder on your chef whites - it will do the same job as adding an extra stain remover as that contains enzymes anyway, and will render the main function of non biological detergent (i.e. the lack of enzymes) useless.  This way you will save money too...

    Would you wash at 20?

Pierre - so you do use hot water??

    Would you wash at 20?

Pierre... Nobody is telling you how to wash, nor asking you to change how you wash, however this thread is discussing UK/European machines that all have heating elements, always have heated and always will.  Please do not get offended as we are discussing the way we wash here.   Everybody's...

    Would you wash at 20?

Dave... Fortunately our machines still let you go up to 95*C, and the energy label rated cycles are specific cycles - most manufacturers nowadays have a seperate "Eco" cycle that is used for testing - so for the moment at least we can still get old-fashioned hot washes with plenty of water.

    Would you wash at 20?

Whilst I wash dark laundry with excellent results at 30, I'm not sure that I'd go any lower than that... A Hotpoint Futura I had briefly before Christmas had a Cottons standard 20 programme and whilst it did more intensive drum action to compensate for the lower temperature and recommended using...

Siemens "Outdoor", Hotpoint "Cuddly Toys", AEG Super silence "Extra Quiet Mode"? Critcisim-Watchdog

I have to say I often find a dilemma when it comes to drying my dainties on a cold winters morning - I am never quite sure whether to use the Lingerie or the Heat and Enjoy cycle!!!

    Hotpoint 9605 toploader

Hotpoint 9604 Here's a picture of my other Hotpoint toploader (the 9604), just for illustration purposes.  Note the lack of the Economy Wash button on this model.  These photos were taken before the effects of brittle-control panel syndrome kicked in!  Nothing a free afternoon and some careful...

    Hotpoint 9605 toploader

Steve - nice picture of the 9605s together.  I always liked the ones with the aqua graphics better.  I used to always think these were the later models, but in the 1999 brochure I have (the last year the 9605 was produced) it still has red graphics in the picture.   Louis - I've worked out...

    Hoover Keymatic in the Netherlands

Of course you have space for it - after all, who REALLY needs a fridge freezer? :-)

Siemens "Outdoor", Hotpoint "Cuddly Toys", AEG Super silence "Extra Quiet Mode"? Critcisim-Watchdog

Interestingly, we have the same Bosch kettle, and the vented version of the Futura tumble dryer.   Can I honestly say I've used any other setting than 100*C on the kettle, or Cupboard Dry on the tumble dryer?  Nope.   Whether it's 16 drying levels or 16 drying programmes - there is still...

    Best new microwave UK

After having used several cheap microwaves over the past few years, both my parents Sanyo and my own Panasonic microwaves have been the best modern ones I've used for a long while.   Jon

    Hotpoint 9605 toploader

This thread welcomes a new addition to my collection, and indeed our kitchen.   Chris in Southampton (aquarius8000) had to let go of his 9605 due to space constraints, and whilst I need a new washing machine like a hole in the head I decided to give it a home in our new kitchen.  Seeming as...
