    FOCA in a TL HE??

Had this commercial Whirlpool VMW like your Maytag machine last year and used FOCA. Turned out alright.

    Double-Duty Super-Surgilator – 16mm Film

Hardly Chet. If you noticed, Kenmore agitators mostly had their vanes on the bottom. Whirlpool used that Surgilator throughout the belt drive run and made modifications to it over the years to make it even more effective. By the time the Double Duty came out in 1978 it smoked the DAA and was...

    Double-Duty Super-Surgilator – 16mm Film

IDK. There certainly is more continuous controlled rollover and not as much splash with the DD, and not as much lateral movement either compared to a belt drive. The BD Penta Swirl for example can get the load to slosh and splash and rock the water. It can get a little tempest going on in that...

    Double-Duty Super-Surgilator – 16mm Film

I can agree with Marky Mark about the Penta Swirl. I personally think it's a great agitator and I like it even more than the Double Duty which is also a great performer. Huge loads do hinder it's roll over some but that is true for most agitators. It's very effective in sloshing the clothes...

    Double-Duty Super-Surgilator – 16mm Film

The super surgilator with the extended fins was in the standard capacity and the 24-in models

Just found a post on Reddit about a Whirlpool washer EXPLODING

The old venerable belt drive has a hanging suspension but with the 500 to 515 RPM spin. Not much to worry about with the metal outer tub and the heavily built cabinet if it goes kablooey.

    Whirlpool Washer Rant!

Even the lid instructions on the Maytag commercial. Tell you this about using the normal cycle. How it works with your selection for optimal performance. I forget exactly what it says but that's the gist of it. In other words, it overrides what you choose. It's the way they word it without being...

Maytag Machines After Whirlpool Buyout - What Remained?

Not trying to be snarky here but does the European approach eliminate every stain on clothing? Since you're using chemicals to wash clothes anyway, what's the difference if you use spray treatments?

    Whirlpool Washer Rant!

I had that machine and it is true it will over ride the water level on the Normal cycle. It will also fill to a lower water level if you open the lid during the rinse fill even if you have it set to a higher level. These manufacturers are playing games with us....

    KA W&D Set

I wonder if there were any rotary control models with the first generation agitator. Would love to find one of these older ones with the original direct drive. 5 vane agitator.

    Double-Duty Super-Surgilator – 16mm Film

The double duty was their last version of the belt drive surgilator for the large capacity machines.

Maytag Machines After Whirlpool Buyout - What Remained?

No Chet unfortunately do not, but it was made around 2005 or 2006. It had that rounded style control panel, which I think was the last one they used. It also had the ultra rinse which is why I really wanted it but I'm more than happy with the the three machines I have now.

Maytag Machines After Whirlpool Buyout - What Remained?

Hi Bob. Unfortunately I had to tell the guy who was holding it for me to just let it go. Besides $300 for a used 20-year-old washing machine with parts getting harder to come by is really not the investment I want to make. For a direct drive, won't do too much better than the KitchenAid that I...

    Combo stereos 1969-84

We had an Emerson all in one stereo me and my brother got from Service Merchandise in around 1986. It was El cheapo but it worked.

    Double-Duty Super-Surgilator – 16mm Film

Whirlpool calls that double duty a Super Surgilator in my 85 Whirlpool. Wonder when they change that ? Maybe when they went to the more energy efficient slightly reduced capacity tubs ? THIS is the Whirlpool many of us want back again !

    Never Used Ultrawash Powerclean Dishwasher
