One more thing Here are some pics of what happened after the mats were done drying. Some rubber dropped onto the floor, and the lint filter had lots of rubber flakes on it. Yes, my washer does have a tub clean cycle, so I'm running that right now for that very reason.

The verdict My mom stated that she doesn't like this machine as much as a traditional top-loader. I haven't shown her this tutorial yet, but it looks like she's slowly figuring out how to use it. Mom is looking into getting a Downy Ball for softener.
