The 28 year old Kitchenaid has finally sprung a leak and the spin is getting noisy. Mind you this is a machine that never needed a repair, but we're thinking it's time to retire. So I'll TRY a front loader. Thinking the SQ model AFNE9BSP113TW01 or an LG 5.2. Anybody have any recomendations...
I took the auger top off the agitator a few months ago. Been running it like that since. Haven't noticed any real difference in turn over. It's my trusty KA so maybe that has something to do with it.
Anybody else do this?

I have an electronic panel KA washer which is still going strong. The only complaint I have is that the sheets come out in knots. Is there anyway to avoid this? I usually do a set of queens on the low water...
Hey Y'all, have a couple of quick questions. Seems the coupler broke on my Kitchenaid. Of course after I paid the repair guy 140 dollars, I found these videos that showed me how to fix it myself for about 10. So it goes.

Any info would be great. So Far I have three and the one from the late 90s seems to work the best. I'd really appreciate any info with pros or cons of these machines, what years are better than others, etc. I'll say this for the 90s machine, it can handle very large loads.
