Since I paint for a living, asking to wash out a paint brush always gets me to the basement of people's houses. Today was no different and the lady of the house was out. I just happened to have my camera with me, come along.
I have a wringer washer and the threads are stripped on the cap that holds the agitator down.
If I put a squirt of glue in the cap would it work? It says it sticks to metal and is waterproof.
The thing that worries me is, it says it expands 3-4 times. Not sure what would happen, maybe just ooze...
I just got it today. Wow, talk about colour in the clothes. I haven't saw this much colour in men's clothing since the 80's.
The appliances still have the Nike like swoop on them.
Not sure what the call center is like in the States, but here in Canada, when you call 1 800 Sears, you talk to...
I just put down a laminate floor in the laundry room. The washer now shakes like crazy. Any ideas on what to do? The washer is level and so is the floor. If you hold it down during the spin its ok.
I was in Sears today and saw a bottom of the line Kenmore but it had a 3 armed wash arm in the bottom. Like the Kitchen Aid minus one. Have these been around for awhile?
This question is probably best suited for members in England. Has anyone ever met Charles and Camilla?
Right now the royal couple is touring Canada, and according to the Toronto Star newspaper, they are getting very few people to turn out to meet them.
Canada's Governor General, Michaelle Jean...
Sorry the picture is so bad. There are two words across the front. The second word looks pretty short. Would this be a Speed Queen?, I'm thinking maybe an Eaton's Viking. Its coming up for auction on Thursday. I like the chrome and blue trim.
Or use it?
I have been in three houses recently that have them, and none of the owners use them. I would love to have one. The one house was three stories high and had one. The owner said, "If I don't take the laundry down myself, I forget its down there."
I was painting at a house today, the freezer has to go. Six guys tried to budge it, they couldn't move it very far and one guy hurt his back. Freezer is free and so is the garage, you pick up both. The garage is now being torn down around the freezer.
I was using my wringer washer today and a sheet went the wrong way under the rollers and then pop.
Smoke, burnt electrical smell and nothing would work. Tried another socket and everything worked again. The smoke and smell came from the washer. Just wondering what went wrong and is it safe to...
Did anyone notice La Toya at the funeral? With that big hat on, all she reminded me of was Goldie Hawn in, The First Wives Club.
I wonder if La Toya had been "Freshened Up" up for the funeral?
I have had this washer since 1994-95, no problems ever. It rarely goes off balance except for tonight. I washed two 100% cotton blankets and it went off balance after during the first spin.
When I tried to rearrange the blankets, something was caught and then rip.
I saw this on the side of the road and just had to stop and get it.
Odd thing was when I was making fun of it, my mother said she got one as a wedding gift in the 50s. Must have been from one of the mean relatives.
I haven't used my dishwasher for quite awhile and when I loaded a small plate on the upper rack it banged against the fill tube to the upper wash arm and broke it off.
Just wondering if anyone would know the name of this china pattern?
I have looked on EBay,Aynsley and Replacement China, no luck.
It is not for their beauty, but for nostalgia.
On the back of the plate there is H-Aynsley&Co LTD
est 1869 Staffordshire England.
I have a plate and two platters...
I was using it today and it seem to be having little power surges, the light was sort of going dim then bright.
Just as I was going to shut it off there was a burning smell and a spark out the on off button.
Does this sound like a big expense coming up?
The nearest vacuum repair is an hour away...
