I've learned that 1972 Grants Bradford and 1968 Co-op washers have 16 lbs. washtubs with the Ten Vane 'angel wing' agitator and the super-fast brake transmission. Have any of you guys seen the 16-pound capacity Franklin washers?

Is it possible to restore a stripped or worn-out 'HEX HEAD with FLANGE' screw?

What can cause a new brake assembly to not stop the tub at the end of the spin cycles? Could too much oil jam up the brake assembly? Although I have new spin bearings, Brake Rotor, and Radial Ball I still manually have to turn the tub to start it spinning.

An eBay auctioneer sold me the PowerFlex 12 agitator without the set screw. Gave me a fabric softener dispenser and cup instead. That was nice but, can not use the agitator. Can not find it online...so what can I use in place of it? Any suggestions?

At the small water level, the washer begins to fill then stops with 3 1/2 inches of water in the tub. Using reset, the water continues to fill but, not at the set water level. The only way it will continue to fill and start agitating is I'll have to use the reset.

Is the 712 tranny lip seal metal or plastic?

Is there a water inlet valve that can be used in Maytag washers for faster filling times?

Which bearing is better, more durable, and longer-lasting, the all-steel or rubber inset style?

Found and brought the PowerFlex 12 agitator. It will be shipped off tomorrow.
