Smart suds-saver that can work on any washer, great idea here.....

This is a suds-saver device you attach to any washer in order to re-use the wash or rinse water. I think I could build one of these fairly easily. No extra pump is needed here, only the one already on the washer. Check it out, a very good idea for reducing wash water consumption.

About the only powder HE detergent I can find in this local area is TideHE, Charlie's, and a few other very small brands I've never heard of or used. I just stopped at Dollar General Store this morning and looked at the detergents while there and read the FAB box. It can be used in...

A day in the life of me and the washers.....

Well, my wife started a load this morning in our Fisher Paykel GWL15. After a while I heard a strange noise coming from it. It was working, although quite slowly, and was making a buzzing sound. Something wasn't right. So I told my wife I'd transfer the cloths to the good old Maytag A9700 which...

getting real interested in a Suds Saver, what should I look for???

I've become real interested in getting a Suds Saver washer. I understand that Maytag and Whirlpool/Kenmore made them, and maybe there are others too. I think I'd like to find the most modern, or latest production, Maytag Suds Saver. What would be some good model numbers to look for? or...

while away on business, look at what I missed.....

I had to travel all last week on a business trip. I got back a day late to snag this really sweet Maytag center dial. It was FREE. I spoke to the owner and he'd replaced several parts over the last year. It had no leaks. And he said it was working perfectly. His wife just decided a new washer...

Roosevelt's fireside chat about banking industry failure.....

an interesting link on when our banking system failed back in the 30's. I think I'm going to pull an amount of cash out of my bank to have on-hand in case they get closed for a week. It probably won't happen, but hey, I didn't think the recent failures would happen either. Boy I wish we had the...

    The Life of Taurus.....

I came upon this in some old computer files. Its the repair records for my 1991 Taurus wagon, which we no longer have. I purchased the wagon used in 1994 for $8,000. This car would get us about 30 mpg on the highway if I didn't run it to hard. I did find out after buying the car that the 1991...
