I recently bought a used portable ge dishwasher but its power cord was missing. I bought a replacement cord at lowes (16 gauge, 13 amp, 8 ft long) and connected white to white, black to black, and since the dishwasher was already grounded to the frame I just wired the green ground on the cable...

I went with my lovely parents to Breckenridge, CO for Easter this past weekend. The condo we stayed in was older but nicely furnished, and was equipped with this awesome Maytag washer/dryer with electronic touch controls.

So the place I just moved into has the popular may tag dryer/dryer stack. I'm unfamiliar with the cycles, though: is regular = high heat, perm press = medium, and delicate = low, or is it just one temp with cooling periods?

What did the "load sensor" agitator in Maytag dependable care machines actually do? Was there any sensing of the load occurring at all? A relative has had one such machine since it was new in 1997 and I never thought to wonder about this name until I used it last weekend.

I'm going off to college and I was wondering how easy it would be to hide such a machine? (Dishwashers are prohibited per terms of housing agreement.) I've never seen one in person and was unsure as to dimensions, weight, etc.
