Georgia Tech Industrial Design survey on washer interfaces

I saw this on reddit where it wasn't getting much attention. I figure we can help these guys out by answering about our primary machine (since so many of us have dozens of them). http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2392734/cbb8e55addb4

    Kenmore Ultra Wash

I picked up a Kenmore Ultra Wash for $35 at the habitat restore to replace the builder's grade whirlpool I had previously. The racks were rusting through but I just swapped them with the nearly identical racks from the whirlpool. The eagle-eyed will notice the rack doesn't match the bump-out in...

    Town & Country Range

Doesn't look like anything special. Resembles a wide version of the compact GE/Hotpoint range all the older college apartments around here have. http://auburn.craigslist.org/app/4329791103.html

WANT: Portable Dishwasher Quick Connect Coupler

Where can I buy one of these without spending $50-$100 for some hoses and plastic? I've checked the Habitat store nearby. Home Depot and Lowes don't even carry them.

    Recent Fridgidaire double oven range

This looks like a later model. How long were ranges of this type made? http://mobile.craigslist.org/app/3773988988.html

Check out this strange Dependable Care

I've never seen that funky control panel before. Weird. http://dothan.craigslist.org/app/3608454843.html

    Adding cord to dishwasher

I recently bought a used portable ge dishwasher but its power cord was missing. I bought a replacement cord at lowes (16 gauge, 13 amp, 8 ft long) and connected white to white, black to black, and since the dishwasher was already grounded to the frame I just wired the green ground on the cable...

    Early 90's Maytag Stack

I went with my lovely parents to Breckenridge, CO for Easter this past weekend. The condo we stayed in was older but nicely furnished, and was equipped with this awesome Maytag washer/dryer with electronic touch controls.

    Maytag Commercial Dryers

So the place I just moved into has the popular may tag dryer/dryer stack. I'm unfamiliar with the cycles, though: is regular = high heat, perm press = medium, and delicate = low, or is it just one temp with cooling periods?

    Maytag agi question

What did the "load sensor" agitator in Maytag dependable care machines actually do? Was there any sensing of the load occurring at all? A relative has had one such machine since it was new in 1997 and I never thought to wonder about this name until I used it last weekend.

    Countertop Dishwashers?

I'm going off to college and I was wondering how easy it would be to hide such a machine? (Dishwashers are prohibited per terms of housing agreement.) I've never seen one in person and was unsure as to dimensions, weight, etc.

    People are so stupid

Ran across this on Lifehacker... normally I enjoy their little tidbits but the last tip in this post reminded me of the stupidity of humanity. http://lifehacker.com/5504855/from-the-tips-box-privacy-policies-free-hangers-and-cleaning-dishes/
