    Old electric range versus new?

Folks, Given the often discussed disgust with the poor quality of new appliances, I have a question: DO you all think it better to buy a NEW electric range or an OLD electric range? When I say 'new' I mean something since 2005 onward, or 'old' as being something from (say) the 1960s or...

    initial comments on Asko W6884eco

Recently I bought (over the internet!) an Asko W6884eco to replace my hated, and dying, Whirlpool Duets. Some initial thoughts: I had a cursing fit 'cause there was an issue with the machine requiring a motherboard change. However it was fully covered. There is a 3 year full parts and labor...

Do any of you know if enameled steel kitchen cabinets are still made? We're working through cabinets for our kitchen refit and we both dislike all that we are seeing - and some old fashioned enameled steel ones would be great!

    How cool is this?

While browsing in a London department store I came across this:   http://www.kenwoodworld.com/uk/kenwoodCookingChef/Home1/   It's a variation of the Kenwood Major that has an induction heating element, so you can beat/mix AND cook simultaneously. Sufficiently expensive that I doubt I'll...
