    Interesting agitator...

From my grandmothers house. Probably a mid to late 80s Fridgidaire. Does anyone have a video of the wash action of this agitator. YouTube searches were not fruitful.

Help! My Speed Queen is dead.

My front load Speed Queen (2 years old) is dead. Will not power up. Nothing on “resetting it” in the owners manual. Plugging and unplugging does nothing. Digital controls. Any suggestions? Everyone is closed till after Christmas.

New Speed Queen front loader video!

Finally got my SQ replacement. Here's a video of large load of 12 bath towels. SQ recommends filling the drum to the top, but not cramming it. The towels hold a huge amount of water and the washer did a good job of getting rid of the water during the final spin...adjusting to add spins. The 45...

Help! New FL Speed Queen is misbehaving!

Hello everyone, I anxiously awaited my new Speed Queen, but she's thumping during the ramp up period. Wash cycles are silent, full spins (when she does decide to do one) are relatively smooth. Please review the thumping in this video and offer advice. Speed Queen wants to send a tech, I want...

New Front Load Speed Queen is on it's way!

For those that know me (and my endless amount of Speed Queen videos on YouTube) will know that I love my Speed Queen top loader. It's over 6 years old now, sisters set is 4 years old, and the vacation set is 5 years old. Never had a problem. I needed a new toy though. :) I loved the...

Something wicked this way comes! A White WestingQueen?

When I was a child, I use to love to watch my mom's White Westinghouse washer. The big blue "sea monster" (aka agitator) was alive in there! Throwing my GI Joes in to the clutches of it's ruthless terror was always fun! :) I finally found a blue agitator on eBay some time ago. I noticed when...

Speed Queen AWN542 - washing new jeans

Last year someone on here asked me to film the SQ washing jeans, and I did. However, the video was lost in the shuffle. I found the video on a data backup over the weekend and have published. Not sure who requested it, but here it is...in a belated sort of way. :) Enjoy!

    RW100 Respirator Washer - Whoa!

Whoa! Think of all the cool things you could wash - and it proves GE still can make a 180º agitation arc!

    Chest or Upright Freezer Suggestion?

I'm looking to buy a small chest freezer, or possible upright (but still small) - under 14 or 10 cu feet. Any thoughts on brands, reliability, best brands that have shelf organization, etc. Reliability, of course, is number one priority, followed by shelf utilization - I'll be storing jars and...

Check out this little PINK agitator...

Iddy biddy with not a lot of ability to create turnover looks like - I thought it was a toy version at first. Never seen a pink agitator, though. Looks like perhaps a new, asian machine? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

What is I missed the Daily Doctrine for more than a few days?

Any way to see more than a few days ago...I was interested in the Speed Queen a few days ago...? Any way to "shop for more"?

"Laundry Day" - a short film starring my Speed Queen

Well, it's been a long time since I did a video...and I wanted to do something different. So, I couldn't think of a better short film subject than Laundry Day! And there is nowhere else on earth that this video will be more appreciated than with my friends on here. I hope you enjoy. <iframe...

Using 1966 Amway S-A-8 Detergent Compound - will it work?

So, on a whim, I purchased a NEVER BEFORE OPENED sales kit that contained samples of Amway's 1966 "S-A-8 Detergent Compound"--approved by McCall's magazine no less! It contained four samples, still wrapped in cellophane.

How much detergent to use at the Laundromat?

I'm washing a "king size" comforter in a 50 lb machine. How much to use? 2x, 3x, 4x as much? Same for the softener? Thanks for the advice in advance.

Watching the Washer when you were Young (and now, too!)

I was fall cleaning the other day and as I was passing by the washer, I noticed that the step stool just happened to be positioned in front of the washer much like it was in the late 70s/early 80s at my childhood house. I would find something, anything to stand on to watch the magical blue...

Why does the Westinghouse have an EASY agitator in the POD?

Hopefully someone can explain the history? I've always wondered why my favorite blue Westy had a ramp so similar to the EASY - and was Sears a EASY knockoff with the "rotoswirl" or whatever their ramp agitator was called?

    How to wax a washer?

So my original Speed Queen set is getting to be nearly 2 years old now. I'm noticing the finish is a bit ruff around the lip of the top where the water splashes during the spray rinse. Of course, I want to protect the finish. What's the best option - good ole car polish, or something else?

The new Buick LaCrosse - any owners?

Well, after reading about a classic Buick Riv on here a week or so again, I found myself test driving the new LaCrosse. I have to admit, I think I'm in love...smoooooth as glass, quiet as a temple, and really great looks. The comfort and QuietTuning remind me of days gone by when your car was...
