What do folks think about this machine? It is supposed to wash (and presumably rinse and spin) a load in 10 minutes, dry in 20, for a complete wash and dry cycle of 1/2 hour. Using 120v. It does have a dryer vent. Seems impossible to me!
The off center design seems like it would be unsteady...
Trump administration sued over plans to make dishwashers less efficient
I will be surprised if dishwashers are allowed to become less efficient.[this post was last edited: 12/29/2020-21:56]

While I can see the convenience of being able to wear a shirt multiple times when traveling, the idea still kind of grosses me out. I will admit I have no problem reusing clothing like shorts or a fleece that have had another item of clothing worn underneath...
I just arrived in Japan for vacation and came across this small 24 hour laundromat. I snapped a few pictures. It had two top loaders, three front loaders, and four dryers. It had a tiny sink and a screen where you could pay. One of the two top loaders was in use. I don’t know what it was doing...
I visited Lidl when in Germany and Spain, but Lidl is new in the US. I picked up the dishwasher detergent and fabric softener shown below. I am curious if they are special Lidl products, or if the have a name brand equivalent. The softener says it was made in Germany, and the detergent was made...
The 40 ounce, 26 load Oxyclean HIGH DEF laundry detergent is on sale for $2.99 at Wallgreen’s. If you have a Walgreens card and account, just clip the digital coupon and you can get it for 99¢. See link.
Who doesn’t like a good bargain...
I recenly saw a Facebook ad for Studio by Tide, but I can’t seem to find much about it. I saw a few reviews on influencer sites, but they were nearly two years ago, and the bottles looked different.
Has anyone heard about it...
There are new pictures of FL washers in the Whirlpool Digital Library. Based on the pictures, which could be computer generated, it looks like they are extending the (What to wash/How to wash) interface to the FL machines.
There is a model with a touch screen built into the door. Hopefully it...
It is a little funny how the wording of the article seems to imply that people may be potentially sharing bath towels, although I think they might just be talking about sharing hand towels. Sharing bath towels isn’t a thing, right...
The Lowe's in South Philly has this on display:
LG FL washer on a sidekick pedestal washer, topped off with a dryer. I am 5'10" and couldn't reach all the dryer controls standing on my toes!
This must be a mistake, right?
I thought some people may find this interesting. I had assumed that hospital linens would need to be completely pathogen free!
Below is a link to the CNN article.

I saw this at ACME last week. Is it new? I didn't see it on the Lysol website.
Since it requires 16 minutes of contact time during the rinse, it requires user intervention to pause the machine. I imagine many people will just add it to the fabric softener dispenser and hope for the best.
I can't believe the Whirlpool FL washer only used 7 gallons of water for an 8lb load! It must have been tested on the normal cycle, which is the most frugal with water. I remember someone posting that it doesn't spin between the first and second rinse, which would reduce water usage..
The...
It looks like Whirlpool will be offering a TL washer and matching dryer with front controls, similar to the ones offered by LG. I think they look pretty sharp.
Is Beko considered a good brand?

This is basically a Microsoft commercial, but some may find it interesting since it is focused on a company that maintains common-area laundry rooms.

Interesting idea. But I can't help thinking that using a sanitizing dishwasher would also cut down on the number of illnesses in a household. When preparing raw meats, I quickly place everything in the dishwasher and wipe down the counters...
This looks interesting. A washer with a small built-in sink.
While I don't think I would make use of it, I imagine it would come in handy for some people.
