Came across an online ad for this Roper fridge. Description states fridge does work but that freezer gets to 0 and fresh-food compartment only gets to 50.
Obviously sealed system is working and so is evaporator fan if freezer is getting that cold. Could it be as simple as air control for FF...
Came across this today. Fully scanned editions of Sears, Wards & JCPenney catalogs, 1940-2011. Great reference information. I found as result of searching for the 1989 JCPenney Christmas catalog. I purchased the VHS camcorder shown on the back cover and wanted to verify my memory was correct as...

Came across a Facebook ad for an early 50s Philco fridge but picture 3 also shows, what I believe is, a 59 Philco Duomatic. Ad is 12 weeks old but worth a try if interested. Located in Jim Thorpe, PA. [this post was last edited: 6/5/2021-15:58]...
The plastic support bracket that holds the aluminum retaining bar inside the freezer door of my '74 GE broke. What would be the best glue to use to repair? My first thought was super glue but I wonder if there's something better suited?

Im curious as to what year GE introduced reversible doors on their refrigerators. Our 1974 Harvest Gold 15.6 cubic ft does not have them. Maybe those members with old sales or repair literature can research and report what year it became standard.
My sister's 1984 GE OTR microwave, Model JVM64003, quit operating a while back and I never got around to checking it out. Clock is still lit and keeping time. Still able to enter cook time and when start is pushed light inside comes on, time counts down but no magnetron action. After viewing a...
Has ceiling fan design changed much since the 1950s? Id like to find one that looks like what would have been available in the mid to late 50s. No lighting required. For all the vintage items I've seen covered here I don't recall any discussions on vintage ceiling fans.
Im looking at replacement defrost timers for my 72 Coldspot fridge. Would anyone here know the timer cycle of the original timer? The one in it currently is not the original. All the replacements Im finding are an 8 hour cycle at 21 minutes defrost. Which would mean it would defrost 3 times in a...
Hello I have a washer and dryer that came with my condo. Neither works properly. The washing machine washes fine, but makes a loud noise now when spinning/draining. The dryer makes a loud squeaky noise and takes awhile to dry. I imagine someone very handy could fix them up to use, but I haven’t...
