    KDTM604KPS

After 2 weeks of using the KDTM604KPS, I figured I would give a review of my newest purchase. As many of you know, stopmeister72 recently had his machine’s filter explode, which is seemingly common. However, murando531 and Lorainfurniture have had excellent experiences with their machines...

Global Wash DW to Tahoe/Point Voyager Conversion?

Has anyone tried to complete a conversion from a Global Wash machine with a filter, to a Tahoe/Point Voyager? I happened to stumble upon a newer KA with the filter that is having some issues. Instead of having issues with the diverter disc, I have considered just taking the disc out, and using...

    Agitator/Impeller swap

Does anyone know if the impeller/agitator from the Maytag MVWC465HW fit in the Maytag MVWC565FW? My grandparents recently purchased this machine, and the older style washplate in the MVWC465HW is significantly better than the newer design. I would like to swap it out if possible. Thanks.

    Samsung DW not cleaning

Model: DW7933 I am being left annoyed and stumped. This machine has given us nonstop issues with cavitation even if I add additional water. Even with Cascade fryer boil out the pump will suck air, and I can add 20 ounces of water with a little relief. Certainly is not a sudsing issue. It also...

    Duet spider failure?

As some of you know, I have a Whirlpool Duet WFW9750 that is nearing 11 years old in the next few days. Within the past 4 or 5 washes, I have noticed that the machine makes a 'rattle' when spinning at moderate RPM, however does not occur continually. So, it does not appear to be the bearings...

    ISO Spin Dryer

In recent years I have been more and more interested in spin dryers. Since we have an electric dryer that we use for every load, we would like to reduce the amount of time that our clothes spend in the dryer and thus we spend on electric. I had considered spending money for a clothes line and...

    Just wondering..

As the little engineer that I am, it has become a wonder if anyone out there has placed a newer washplate from something similar to a Maytag Bravos XL and putting it into an older two speed helical drive Maytag or a speed queen washer with a longer arch? I feel like this would be a good cleaning...

Whirlpool Duet Sanitize cycle test: Dirty socks

Yesterday, my brother needed to borrow socks from a family member to play hockey. The socks are disgusting. My aunt is one of those cold water washer only types (plugs nose). Her son also plays hockey, with these socks. So after watching many threads about water temp tests with various stains, I...

    Cleaning Washer: Bleach VS. Vinegar

I have a Whirlpool Duet steam washer with the clean washer cycle. Our machine does not have an odor after a year and a half of use. But I prefer to keep the build up of Tide, Downy, and hard water minerals to a minimum. Which would work better to prevent the listed build up? Bleach or Vinegar. I...
