I am a little annoyed with this.
Against my better judgement, I purchased a black Hoover undercounter fridge as extra storage space to go in my home office.
I needed a dark colour to fit into the colour scheme and wasn't looking for anything particularly fancy. It just needs to be able to hold...
A relative of mine recently purchased a 12KG Samsung EcoBubble washing machine and they are having serious problems with vibration during the spin parts of the cycle.
The machine has been moving out of place and vibrating pretty violently during the spin.
It is installed in their utility room...
A relative of mine has bought a Bosch Ecologixx 7 heatpump dryer and they're having some problems with it. It's not drying clothes fully when it's set to cupboard dry.
I don't have access to it, and I can't really help over the phone.
Does anyone know how they access the fine adjustment menu...
We have a Hotpoint (Ariston) Aqualtis 1600 RPM 8kg which is a few years old but, has been in storage for quite some time. (2 years!). It was fully drained, transit bolts fitted, filter and drawer were removed to allow air circulation and prevent mould growth and it was absolutely perfect when it...
This is the first time that I have come across this approach to a recall / safety warning notice.
We do not own any BEKO appliances, but this morning a flyer came in with the post. It seems that BEKO and the National Consumer Agency have actually sent out a mail shot to every home in Ireland...
I am having some problems with Fairy Dishwasher tablets in my Bosch dishwasher. I tried Fairy Platinum and the machine totally suds-locked. It was trying to pump pure foam instead of detergent solution.
Has anyone else got this problem?
No other tablets seem to cause any issue e.g. I have used...
Picked up an interesting product this morning, Comfort Pro Colour softener.
The idea is that it enhances your colours and reduces colour bleed in the last rinse cycle.
They also have Comfort Pro White for improving the whiteness of your laundry.
More info in the link below...
I stumbled across these old early 1980s ESB (Irish Power company) adverts promoting electric cookers and tumble dryers.
The Cook Electric Ad features some pretty catchy specially composed electropop !
I've a bit of a problem. I'm renting an apartment which has a white leather sofa and unfortunately someone's leather belt has stained the surface of the sofa in a few places.
Does anyone know of anything that would take this out?
I have tried a few things :
Soap and water and gentle scrubbing...
I just thought that I would let some of the American posters on this forum know that they're not alone when it comes to property bubbles.
Ours is a little different to yours, the property developers are the ones who went most insane during the boom.
They have managed to build houses in places...
I've used Ariel Excel Gel quite a few times and I've found the scent pretty nice, however, I notice that since they've added the "with ActiLift" branding to the product that the formula has clearly changed.
It now suddenly smells like Tesco's own-brand powders and tablets. While these perform...
We've got a Bosch Logixx 8 and it's basically a good machine, but one thing that is really annoying me is the stupid touch-button control panel.
It is WAY too sensitive to being brushed against.
Our machine is located in a utility room, just off the kitchen.
Anytime anyone walks past the...
There's a reminder of a serious recall notice on certain Beko, Flavel, Leisure and New World gas cookers sold in Ireland.
Apparently, about 3000 people who purchased these appliances cannot be traced by retailers and they have not responded to press and radio announcements.
If you know anyone...
I just bought a packet of normal Skip powder in France. This is Unilever's top of the line biological powder, which very similar banding to UK/Ireland Persil. The scent of the French product is FAR FAR nicer. It's like how a detergent should smell, fresh, a little citrusy. A bit like how Ariel...
I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, if I was clothes in Ariel Colour, and they have been hanging in a wardrobe for a while, they develop this very bland chemically odour. It's not particularly unpleasant, but it's not particularly pleasant either. It's like some components of...
I'm looking at replacing a 1995 Bosch Dishwasher. The buttons have broken and are no longer making contact with the control panel below. We have had to get this component replaced several times over the life of the machine and also it's been through two control boards.
Now, while it's a nice...
I just thought that some of you might enjoy this website.
Unilever's celebrating 100 years of Persil in the UK and Ireland.
The site has some great vintage adverts and other Persil items, including a complete history of the brand in the UK and Ireland.
Check it out and enjoy...
I was just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a silver Hotpoint Aqualtis drawer on-line ?
Unfortunately, my rather rough housekeeper decided to remove the drawer to clean it, not realising that there was a release catch which has to be pressed down. She used brute force, pulled the...
Since the Automatic Washer.org site has no chat room, I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in adding each other to our MSN, Yahoo Chat, Gmail chat etc lists.
I would suggest that we could post our IDs on this thread, but make sure they're not open to 'spam harvesting' by removing...
Here's a link to a document from an Italian university's engineering school about a system of active vibration dampeners for the Hotpoint-Ariston Aqualtis suspension.
Quite an interesting prototype and a lot of detailed information about the machine's suspension.
