1967 Hamilton 800 washer and dryer

Had these for quite some time, however seemed to have time to take photos. With the recent snow, I had time. Please excuse my crappy old camera. I do not take many photos or videos anymore. This set was from my friend Kenny (Goatfarmer) a few years back. This set was seldom, if ever used. The...

    I found a NIB Roll A Matic

By Remington..... I have never used an electric shaver, always have used disposable. At any rate, I have been watching the old reruns of What's My Line tv shows from the 1950's on YouTube and Remington sponsored some of the shows back then. This model Remington was shown at some point during...

    Guess what got painted today?

It only took 14 years..... To go from this, to this. It is a cabinet from a 1958 Norge Timeline, that was rescued from a junkyard after 40 years. Kenny and I pulled this out of an abandon junkyard in the spring of 2006. (how much the world has changed since then.....) The washer took 2 other...

    1949 Kelvinator restoration

This is the replacement basement fridge, replaces the 1953 Hotpoint combo that failed last year. This Kelvinator is an excellent vintage fridge, but suffered from ugliness, big time. Someone had brush painted it at one point, then someone had covered it in NASCAR stickers, which made for a real...

Anyone need a nice classic car?

I have one for sale. This is a 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. Belongs to my sister, and I have done most of the maintenance on it. After 32 years, it is time to find this car a new home. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Pontiac-Grand-Prix/143615655828?hash=item217028ff94:g:uLcAAOSwIOxezVdm

I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.....

That's a lot of money to ask for one of these. I purchased mine for $750.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Magnavox-Concert-Grand-Dual-Amplifier-Tube-Stereo-Console-Excellent-Condition-/223598761559?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10

    1955 Cadillac update

This is something that turned out much better than 1960 Frigidaire washer! I purchased this Cadillac in 2003, and finished the mechanical restoration over the years. One thing that remained with the restoration of the interior. This car featured all leather, including the door and kick panels...

    Another one bites the dust....

This time I have really had it with this one. I have more man hours in this machine, than any other. It was just an empty shell when I got it, so I attempted to make a Multimatic transmission overhaul for it, with two parts transmissions. There were not enough good parts between the two to do...

    "Mid Century Modern"

    1953 Hotpoint combo problems

I have been using this trusty Hotpoint as a basement fridge for about twelve years with no problems. I noticed a funny noise the other day, and to my surprise, today I found the freezer is only cooling down to forty seven degrees. The refrigerator section is cooling to thirty seven degrees. The...

    1958 Maytag oil leak... Again

This Damn!! Thing is leaking oil again. The first bottom seal was installed in 2004, when the machine was restored. About 3 years ago, it started leaking oil again, so I replaced the oil seal (o ring) the second time. It is now leaking again. I refuse to replace it a third time. Too much work...

    Info on 40" ranges wanted

The 1972 Frigidaire in service at the rental house has a broken hinge on the left side oven. The parts are no longer available, and the door is hanging by one hinge. I was going replace this with a newer range with self cleaning oven, but the tenant wants another vintage 40" range. In fact, she...

This work was done last summer, but I've never had time to post photos The last time I replaced the roof was in 1989, so it was showing it's age. This is a "before" shot with the 1989 roof.
