    Hotpoint shrapnel?

I've now fished two hunks of metal out of the pump of a Hotpoint washer VBSR3100. Anyone know what they might have broken from? Easily replaceable? Or just let it go until more breaks off. It's an OK machine, nothing special, about 18 years old. So I'm not interested in putting much time or...

    LG leaves me dumbfounded

Last month I installed a new LG front loader in a somewhat challenging location because of a drain 6 feet above the floor. Sure enough, just like the old top loader, water was left in the tub at the end of the cycle. I watched it spin for the final 16 minutes- without ever engaging the drain...

    Hotpoint drain pump

My washer has Hanning drain pump, model DPO 40-001. With a 6 foot high drain, it empties the tub OK, but struggles during the spin. Anybody know if there's a "beefier" drain pump available which might work better? Thanks

    suds lock?

The installation instructions say an 8 foot drain is ok, and during neutral drain it seems to pump out fine. However, while spinning, the whirling basket whips up so much froth, even after rinsing, that it won't pump out. This slows the spin speed and leaves a soggy mess. It's a 15 year old...

    Moving a Kenmore front loader

I have an LG built kenmore, about 5 years old, which I need to move about 2 hours away. It's just too big to move upright, but if the control knob comes off easily I could manage to get it on it's back. With the 4 shipping bolts in place to stabilize the tub, can it be moved on its side without...

    Looking for KDS18 chrome parts

I finally installed a previously unused KDS18. It's working flawlessly, but long storage left the chrome parts of the control panel badly pitted. I'm still looking to buy the panel, handle, and plated buttons if anyone knows of parts available. Many thanks

    KDS 18 parts

Some years ago I couldn't resist a CL ad for an unused Kitchenaid. Sure enough, a guy clearing his parents house, a machine bought and never installed. Who could resist? But I didn't need it at the time and stored it in a shed. And, predictably, all the chrome of the panel, buttons and door...

    ge sensor part WB21X5207

After lurking here for a long (long) time, I need help! My GE Americana range (the 4th I've owned in 30+ years) needs a new sensor for the sensi temp burner. Any leads or suggestions? The repair guy confirmed everything else is ok. Further, he seems to think my stove, a JHP67001, cannot be...
