    Way Off Topic

Quite some time ago I posted a picture of a mid century Chevy Dealer that was going to be demolished. I was a little upset about it at the time, fond memories and all that. I guess I wasn't alone....

    Advice?

Way off topic, but I must ask... Has anyone here ever had a neighbor that was endlessly annoying, and impossible to ignore? Someone whom you have called the police on, multiple times, who is stupid enough to never learn their lesson, or a little respect? How do you handle this situation...

    Some New Frigidaires!

So as some of you know, I decided to do a retro kitchen in my basement. (Pictures to come later.) Where better to get the retro appliances than the ones I had already restored and put in my kitchen upstairs? And then what after that? New Frigidaires, of course!

Was anyone else subjected to this?(way off topic)

At first I thought it was humorous. The longer I was on the train the creepier it got. I'm all for fun, but.... http://dcist.com/2008/01/14/no_pants_metro_1.php

    Remember something like this?

As a child I admit to being one who needed to be watched. I played with everything I could get my hands on. Appliances, televisions, radios, cars, you name it. My favorite time to do this, was of course, at night. I'd sneak downstairs after everyone else was asleep and start having my fun. We...

    Disappearing Landmarks.

Arriving to work every day, watching the next new office tower go up, always reminds me of the places that had to go so they could build. Gigantic cranes dot the skyline everywhere, and I often wonder what cool, funky places have been lost. This one especially sticks in my mind, because I...

    Why American?

I saw an article in todays newspaper. I thought I'd supply a link to it. Topic: Why buy an American car? We've had car threads on here a number of times. I never bothered mentioning mine before because there is nothing special about it. It's a small car. It's nice, and has every button...

    Dishwasher drama....

A couple years ago I bought a retro Kenmore dishwasher home with me. It worked fine until about 6 months ago. I have the parts to fix it now, but that will be in another thread, later. To fill the gap, while I fixed the Kenmore, or got something else, retro fabulous, to take it's place, I bought...
