    Timer ID Help

The timer on my Maytag ADE309 dryer bit the dust. It's got bits rattling around in it and it spins freely. I'm not finding a number that correlates to a part number.

    Two Speed Queen Manuals

I found these in my new home, would they be a welcome addition to the ephemera library?

    Whirlpool A308 Tub Leak?

Okay, I've nearly got this machine mechanically 'flaw free' save for an irritating leak I can't track down. I think it's from this seam at the top of the tub. I've ruled out the hoses and valves. Is this a replaceable seal?

    GE Filterflo, should I buy?

So I love filter flo machines but just can't find one around here so I bought avocado Maytag set. Wouldn't you know that a filter flo pops up on marketplace now! They want to sell a dryer to but offered to sell just the washer for 170. Is that just to high?

    GE Potscrubber 1200 Buttons

Question for you guys! Are the cycle select buttons supposed to pop back up when the cycle has ran its course?

    Maytag AA208 Maiden Washing Voyage!

So everything works on the old girl, I ran a small load of laundry through it and it performed well. The circuit tripping was just that outlet not providing enough amperage for the agitation cycle, so I plugged it in somewhere else. I have noticed that the water valves are slow at closing, it...

Maytag aa208 Update and Drainage Question

So I started digging into the old beast today. I cleaned and greased the motor slides, freed up the pump (just had ice in it), and cleaned up the inlet valves. Iron Out removed all the junk. I soaked the lint filter in Spic and Span and it cleaned right up. I don't have a spare water hose so I...

Maytag Washer AA208, Made It Home!

My previous thread in Shoppers Square showed i found this avocado set on FB Marketplace. The unspecified motor problem was further explained by the seller as 'it won't spin' and an 'electrician said it had a short in the motor'. That explanation seems unlikely since I discovered that both the...

    Loving the GE Potscrubber!

With an upgraded pump and motor assembly, new water valve, and a thorough clean and polish, she's finally installed! This replaced my pathetic, modern Whirlpool. I love the power it has and the changeable color panels. It fits in nicely with my vintage Tappan double wall oven!

    1970's Maytag Pair

I'm not sure of the make, I think they are Maytag. I've been after an older set to handle my husband's work clothes. The seller says the dryer timer is 'sticky' and the washer motor has a (unspecified) problem. Are they worth the 100 bucks and are parts still available?

    GE Potscrubber 1200 Score

Ever since my grandmother tossed her (older model) Potscrubber out, I've always wanted to find one of these! I got this one for 12 bucks! I'm just sick of the modern dishwasher I have and its complete lack of grinder/cutter assembly. What should I replace or renew on this to give it its best...

    Speed Queen Wringer, worth it?

I'm a newbie to old washers. Flea market has 39 bucks on this but needs a new agitator. They say it works. Could I even find an agitator?

    New Speed Queens!

I've wanted to post a pic of these for a while now but I wanted to wait until we had been using them for a while. Overall I'm very happy with the pair, but I absolutely cannot stand the lid locking on the washer!

    Tappan Wall Oven Help

The home we just moved into has this retro Tappan oven. I cannot find a model number on it anywhere, the timer and clock do not work and I would like to either replace them or know of a tip to repair them. Any ideas?

60's Kenmore WM and Dryer Set

These look cool, perhaps someone in its area could scoop them up. http://https//www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1963-Frigidaire-Washer-And-Dryer/292379773279?hash=item441331495f:g:UGAAAOSwTm9aPEmY

    New Member, Wanted Vintage Washer

Hello all! New member here but long time member of vacuumland! I dont think ive got the washing machine collection bug yet, but who knows, I might! However, I am after a washing machine, single or paired with dryer, that utilizes the filter that pours water over the washing tub. My grandmother...
