Today I had planned to get this machine which was located about 2-½ hrs away from home in Buhl ID since it was a freebie (mom also came along for the ride and we did some other sight-seeing in Twin Falls for her mother's day present, great day all around). Guy said it wouldn't spin, to which I...
I had to go today to look at a commercial washer model# CAE2745FQ1 because the maintenance guy said he'd hear it running like it was filling but no water was coming into the tub. Said no signs of water leaks or spraying anywhere else from the back or underneath. When I got there it was...
1989 Whirlpool dark gray-panel DD. Thing's basic and a beauty! Was told it flooded laundry room out, and cannot turn the motor coupler by hand at all with agitator locked onto transmission (agitate mode) so either something fell in and jammed the pump or the transmission is seized up for some...
Does anyone have this part on hand? I need the left side end cap for my Roper washer control panel. Part# 3358018 (WHT/CHR). Looked all over Google and can't find it so I figured maybe somebody has one lying around? Thanks.
Does anybody have a diagram for a 3 speed Whirlpool direct drive without a speed selector switch? Trying a mod on my 1992 Kenmore 70 series, 2 speed-to-3 speed conversion. What I've found is that most 3 speed motors have a separate connector for the med/low speed with White>Violet being...
What the "WC" number stands for on a drain pump? Some of them differ from each other so that's why I was looking to see whether it was a year code or a revision code or what. One Google result was that it could stand for "water column"? If anyone knows by chance and is willing to impart info...
Great personality, spunky, clean, good looking, would be a great partne--wait.........
JK lol
If anyone could tell me the year this machine was made, I'd appreciate it very much. 43rd week of 20XX. Thank you!
I have a Magic Chef (Whirlpool) direct drive that was found sitting in a shed for years and as a result, the motor is full of caked on dust around the windings and stuff like that. I've already cleaned everything else up for the most part.
I would however like to know the best way to get that...
If somebody wants them! I wish I had the room and means to buy them myself since they're in my area, but alas, I do not.

I have a motor that I believe is going bad on a Whirlpool direct drive washer. Looks like a newer motor replacement on an older machine, but gets way too hot when ran, and now it won't even start without manually turning it. Capacitor has been tested and is good. But I'll replace that anyways...
I bought this used basket from a store a few weeks ago. Came with some rust on the bottom & center-post, so I had to do some wire wheeling/angle grinding.
I wish I would have asked about this before I already pulled the trigger. I need some advice on the best paint to use to seal and protect...
This one was just $35 a couple towns over from me so I said "why not?"
This may make a good donor machine to our 70 series, or maybe I'll just fix it up and resell it.
Needs a new basket, is the first thing I found right off the bat. I'll hook it up and test it though to see how everything...
I do wonder if it's possible to build a wooden cabinet for one of these older machines? E.G. an 80s Whirlpool BD/DD with a cabinet made completely out of wood that's maybe polished and lacquered. Probably would have been a special order thing for some elderly person in the 80s or 90s lol. Any...
Indeed, here she is! Just brought her home this evening. Model# 110.82270620, Serial# C31101688 (11th week/March of 1983)
Overall looks pristine on the outside, save for some dirt & filth here and there. Owner said barely used and had been in the family since new. Paid $100.
Will test her...
Center-dial Kenmore 60 series 24" DD model 110.81362150, serial# C61703648.
I'm selling this machine since I have no good place for it myself. If anybody wants it who will appreciate it for the fact that it's one of the more rare DDs out there, come take it to a good home! Make offer if...
This may be something everyone else already knows, all I know is now I think I've finally figured it out too--good for me. On Whirlpool DDs: why the older gray drain pumps have a lower pitch whirring sound than the new pumps do. If you look closely in the pics, the spacing on the impeller fins...
