A 1929 Emerson model 29648 16" fan. Though it needs horribly cleaned and polished up, it works perfectly.
My aunt gave this to me today. It belonged to my uncle's dad. The blades are brass, as well as the emblem on the front.
This should be a fun little restoration project :)
I picked up that unique looking harvest gold Kenmore from the other thread thanks to Rich. It turns out to be from 1972.
Other than the missing detergent/bleach dispenser cup, it is complete and works flawlessly. And man is it quiet!!!
We put a new bulb in it for the console as well.
Well, over the weekend, I met up with Trainguy and Sharples. Sharples had a very nice haul.
I ended up scoring one piece of exactly what I've been looking for: 1976 Kenmore dryer. Though it is in like mint condition! Not a scratch on it. All that is missing is the center knob, which will be...
This was based off of the 1978 Frigidaire 1-18 washer Trainguy hooked me up with... though you know I have this thing with avocado green :)
Just a character of mine, AJ Otter. I figured you guys might enjoy this pic.
I am in search of the harvest gold Kenmore pair my parents had. Now I don't even know what year they would be. I thought 1980, as this was the pair they got when they got married in early 1981. I know the control layout had cursive writing and the washer had sud saver.
But at this point I am...
I am up my aunt's housesitting for a week. They bought a new front loader washer.
It is a Frigidaire model FTF2140ES3.
It was kind of neat to see how it washes. And how it rinses. It actually rinses 3 times before going into final spin.
These are what I picked up the other day with the help of Rich, getting them into my new storage unit (some new washer pics coming in the future as well.)
Since I'm just getting started in collecting washers and such (the Frigidaire 1-18 pair I posted that I need to take off of Trainguy's hands), I figured I'd share some pics of my other collections.
Last night I visited Trainguy's place and had a great time.
As soon as I get a place to put these, I will be taking these. Not only my first vintage washer/dryer pair, but my first washer/dryer pair period (which I'll be using when I get my own place now.)
A 1978 Frigidaire Custom Imperial...
I've known of this site for a while, but never bothered to join until now.
I don't have a washing machine collection at the moment, although I wish I did :) I really do love older washing machines and such. I've always have been fascinated by it ever since I was little, but never took real...
