    What's old

is new again. Saw an infomercial about a gadget called the NicerDicer that uses the old "Veg-A-Matic" principles except that it puts the chopped/sliced food into a container instead on the counter.

    cheap appliances

I was in Big Lots! the other day and got another good example of why people don't bother repairing appliances anymore. They had what appeared to be a TOG GE dishwasher with electronic controls and a THREE level wash for $198. Granted, it was a big hunk of plastic, but I imagine hard to resist if...

    Youngstown POD

aHA, so Frigidaire DID copy Youngstown Kitchens spray tube arrangement. I'm surprised Youngstown didn't patent it. And one wonders why Frigidaire made a success out of the idea and Youngstown didn't

    Visions cookware

When one of my rommates moved in, he brought with him a set of Corning Visions cookware. I thought they were very cool UNTIL I tried to cook with them. They have so much thermal mass that if they start to boil over, even if one immediately turns off the heat on a gas range, they continue to boil...

    positions of machines

Now in THIS case, unless the dryer door opens 180 degrees, I'd want the washer on the RIGHT.

    Fabric softener scents

This may seem like an unusual question, since most people on here seem to dislike strong scents, but in this case, i need to know, in y'all's opinion, which brand of fabric softener has the strongest, most obnoxiousm lingering scent on the market today? If I wash my bed clothes in it, I want to...

Wow! Is that wallpaper pattern BUSY or not?!

    Maytag POD

I assume that the "Correct" water level for every load is going to be "full" since the machine has no way of determinging how large a load is in it. Are there actual water levels determined by the cycle taht are not user controllable?

    Tappan POD

"Dual Drench"? I assume that's that weird system they had for a while in their dishwashers. Sure would like to see how that worked. I wonder how far they were from Westinghouse in Mansfield OH?
