    Our washer died today! :(

Ya, the old Maytags are cool machines until the brake package needs replacing. Sorry, but I never have cared anything about any Maytag.

    found another one

Dont waste ur money on the R12, it will most likely leak down again if you dont find the rteason it leaked in the 1st place. 134A dude. Although I have quite a bit of old R12 in the cans that we all used to buy at Wal Mart at 77 cents a can. I will never sell them for one day I may need them for...

    A Direct-Drive Lady Kenmore question~

Yes, I checked to be sure because I have so many machines around here that I get them confused but yes it does have a triple dispenser thingie that looks to be a layered type plastic resevoir. Unlike any I've ever seen before. I have been at this for many moons but I guess this one slipped me by.

    Whirlpool DDs

The post 1995 GE washers had such heavy trannies in them that if you weren't careful loading and unloading them into trucks that the trannie would get to swaying back and forth and knock the rubber boot seal loose. Not a good choice of washers for folks that move in the middle of the night 6...

    Our washer died today! :(

To hell with Maytags, If you want a dependable washer at a good price go with a Roper as you mention above. But myself? I would go with an old used Kenmore Direct Drive that is easy to work on even to a novice. You can wash for the next 5 years for maybe 40.00 investment if you look around for...

    New for 1979...

I just picked up an old wig wag which both solenoids did work by miracle but it had the roto-swirl agi in it but it also had this monsterous sized softener dispenser mouted on top of it that you pretty much have to remove from agi in order to get your clothes in the thing. Anyone familiar with...

    Schweet Whirlpool Portable/Stackable W&D Set

I once worked on a stackable Whirlpool set and if I'm not mistakened, isn't the dryer made like a Frididaire or something like that? Instead of the trusty old Whirlpool/Kenmore design?

    My Collection

Yeah, the early GE washer is cool. I just procured a match to that washer but this dryer I picked up is avacado green. I hope it turns out to work good. Haven't even put a pig tail on it yet to try it out.
