In need of advice for upcoming renovation febuary or march 2026 including moving washer dryer from second floor to basement

I think you lost me. My washer/dryer are in the basement, on a cement floor. The washer drains into a standpipe, not a floor drain. maybe I'm mis-reading what you are asking. Where they go in the basement will largely depend on current plumbing, unless you want to install pumps to get the water...

How do you view AutomaticWasher, org ?

I view it on one of my 32" screens, from a desktop. I never browse the web from a cell phone, too small. In fact, I haven't had one since 2006, and don't plan to get one. My wife has one, that's good enough if traveling.

Speed Queen Special Military Edition Washer

I missed that light on the first one. Maybe it's not really 13 years old. The second "Military" model I linked to has no lid lock, and the PDF is dated 2024.

Speed Queen Special Military Edition Washer

What makes you think these are TR models? The first one claims to be 13 years old now, before the TR series existed, the one I linked is identical this, even has a mechanical timer. https://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/TV2000WN.html Don't appear to be TR's at all, just marketing with...

Speed Queen Special Military Edition Washer

That one looks like an oversimplified TC5. I'd rather choose my own temp for any cycle, And it looks like it only does a spray rinse in all cycles. Even has capacitive touch buttons. In other words 5 eco cycles with different time an temps. Then there is this model, which just seems like an...

    Coolest fridge emblems

It would be cool to see more, especially old brands. They seemed to have cooler logos in the 50' and 60's. Classic US emblems would be cool too.

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

Nope, just claims of self destructing chips... I notice you can't answer questions about your claims either. Thanks for explaining how the internet works to someone that worked in the field for over 25 years. I never knew you could just type an address in the bar...or click on link. This will...

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

A support site, you can't reach while in the field. Kinda pointless. You think it's likely that he can't even remember the name? You never did tell me what you do for a living, or how you have such knowledge. I found your example without a link... And don't apologize for my behavior. I'm not...

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

All he has to do, is show the site., like I showed your example above. He can't, because it's BS. What do you do for a living, if I may ask? It sure isn't IT or website related.

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

Your almost starting to get it, while I can't ACCESS the whirlpool site, I CAN see it. There are no tokens, just a username and password. How else would they access it in the field? https://servicematters.com/en_US His story is BS, quit buying it.

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

Except he can't show us the website. Why not? We would not be able to access the super secret website protected by ip address! If you knew anything about website development Chet, you would realize just how silly the whole story is. And it's so secure everyone at the company could access it...

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

Where is the website? I've been securing websites for decades. You can still see them, but can't access them without permission. Stop with the nonsense. Look at this website you are on, it has secured forums, that can't be accessed without a membership.

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

I don't think he's a tech at all. I have a friend who is in electronics repair/design. He used to work for Motorola in the 80's and 90's, designing circuits for them for many products (police related). He knew why the chips identification was removed, many decades ago. No guessing/speculating...

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

You seem to be the one speculating, you even state it here:. You "wonder" why the identification is removed. You don't "know" why it was removed. You never stated any facts. Just opinions, from an invisible website. The schematic will identify exactly what that chip is. Of course you need to...

Are New Appliances Always Doomed? Why A Grass Roots Movement Could Change Things

The reason identifying marks are removed from IC chips (which has been happening since the 80's) is so that people/manufacturers can't reverse engineer the product, or do home repairs. It's also done in high end audio, so the end user doesn't realize his "audiophile" equipment uses common off...
