    Kitchen Aid Quiet Scrub

I had this model for 23 years, averaged six loads a week. It finally died of a leak that couldn't be fixed. The only issue it had was the coupler needed to be replaced. Very happy with this machine, sorry to part with it but getting a new Speed Queen FL helped with my grief.

Are recent SQ FL's supposed to add more water for larger loads?

SQ FL Water Fill I've had mine for about 4 months and am pretty happy with it. It's right out side my home office, so I get to hear it operate whether I want to or not. It has refilled a number of times once the clothes are saturated, The refills usually happen when I run a load of towels.

    SQ FL Revision?

Water level Does anyone know of a way to raise the water level? Does a tech need to do it, or will they do it, or should it be done by the owner?

    Which new FL to get???

Thanks! Hey y'all, I just wanted to give a heart felt thanks to all who took the time to reply to my inquiry. Leaning towards the SQ, but we're still debating this. Again, thanks much for the time and condieration.

    Which new FL to get???

The 28 year old Kitchenaid has finally sprung a leak and the spin is getting noisy. Mind you this is a machine that never needed a repair, but we're thinking it's time to retire. So I'll TRY a front loader. Thinking the SQ model AFNE9BSP113TW01 or an LG 5.2. Anybody have any recomendations...

    Best Used Top Load Washers?

I've had really good luck with pre 2000 KitchenAids, they're built like tanks.

    Has anybody else done this?

It is definitely the the large agitator. Don't do the bob-loads any more. The old girl is 22 years old and I want to watch the tranny.

    Has anybody else done this?

Thanks for the reply Malcom. It seems the only I cant do is fill the water level over the top of the agitator, socks and smaller stuff gets snagged.

    Has anybody else done this?

I took the auger top off the agitator a few months ago. Been running it like that since. Haven't noticed any real difference in turn over. It's my trusty KA so maybe that has something to do with it. Anybody else do this?

    @ Super, Damn that's a complete drag.

    Amana Touchmatic washer

Hey All, I have the exact same KA Model. Think it is a 91? It had the smaller agitator and I swapped it out for the larger. Have had no problems with it save for one coupler issue. Maybe Super32 had the unfortunate luck of running into the rare lemon, which is too bad. I'd say for 95 bucks it's...

    Washing sheets

Hey Guys and Gals, thanks for the advice. Here's what I'm doing: two sets of queen sheets, one sheet per quadrant, pillow cases on top, dropped the water level to just where the sheets are turning over and no more tangled sheets. Worked like a charm. Bud

    Super Roto Swirl

I heard Kenmore is putting the Swirl back in some models. Is this true?

    Washing sheets

I'll try loading it in quarters, makes sense as the KA's turnover had always reminded me an old thumper's turnover. Thanks for the input guys!

    Washing sheets

Not sure if this belongs in the newer or vintage forum, but here goes anyway. I have an electronic panel KA washer which is still going strong. The only complaint I have is that the sheets come out in knots. Is there anyway to avoid this? I usually do a set of queens on the low water...

    Question about a Kitchenaid KAWE900

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm pretty happy with the machine, I think it's about 19 years old. I don't want to seem like I'm dogging the repair guy out, because it's running much quieter and with less vibration. I'm surprised that replacing the coupler would help with that. What I did question...

    Question about a Kitchenaid KAWE900

Hey Y'all, have a couple of quick questions. Seems the coupler broke on my Kitchenaid. Of course after I paid the repair guy 140 dollars, I found these videos that showed me how to fix it myself for about 10. So it goes. When I asked the repair guy why the couplers break, he said it's because...

    Kitchenaid washers

Any info would be great. So Far I have three and the one from the late 90s seems to work the best. I'd really appreciate any info with pros or cons of these machines, what years are better than others, etc. I'll say this for the 90s machine, it can handle very large loads. Thanks Pat
