    Hoover AutoJet and SupaJet

Superjet Hello Christopher, from Sutton In Ashfield :) It is simply wonderful that you are still using a Hoover Superjet, I have one myself. I also love that it seems to be in a 1970s kitchen :) Give Gordon from Vacuum Exchange in Edinburgh a ring, I know he has some Hoover Autojet/Superjet...

    What is this?

Although it seems very high my guess is that its a food and plate warming cabinet - not so much for heating food up as keeping it warm once its cooked. We had a couple of versions here in the UK, the Belling company produced something rather like this but far and away most popular was the...

Help with my GE Twin Tub

GE Twin Tub The attached film from WW2 provides good watching. Seems to be all GE appliances but particularly at about 6.30 in there is a twin tub. Certainly looks like an Easy to my uneducated eye but it may have been "badged" by GE

    The Energy Saving Kitchen

This popped up in my YouTube feed. It says circa 1950 but I think it might be somewhat later, maybe 1954 or 1955? No matter, there are some very interesting ideas and appliances shown.

Video: Persil ‘Wonder Wash’ development at Unilever R&D facility (CNBC Europe)

As I recall the Persil came from Amazon itself rather than a retailer.

Video: Persil ‘Wonder Wash’ development at Unilever R&D facility (CNBC Europe)

Persil Colour Powder I agree that Persil Colour Powder seems to have gone from the supermarkets in UK, and indeed there are not many other brands of Colour powder either, as I saw was Aldi's own brand. I was able to get some from Amazon though at a reasonable price for a pack of four boxes, I...

Dishlex Dishwasher Won't Fill with water

New World Its a Creda, although it started out life as the Parnall Autodry in around 1967. Interesting to see the Hoover dryer hinged on the right, over here they were usually hinged on the left

    Tricity Marquis Stove

Scotland You could well have seen freezers made in Scotland. It appears that in 1972 Scots company called Norfrost was established, manufacturing a couple of small size chest freezers. I think they might have had an upright freezer too but that was just their name put on an Italian made unit...
