    Need some front loader help.

We have a 5 year old Whirlpool Duet WFW9150WW00 that is giving me an F7E1 error code, washer quits half way through the wash cycle. From what I've found, this error code would be for the motor tachometer. So what does this mean? Complete replacement of the motor? Any suggestions would be...

    My new old washer.

Been awhile since I've posted! Due to our five year old Whirlpool Duet front loader dying on us (different thread), my wife and I were left scrambling for a washer. Luckily, my brother and sister in law had just purchased a new home. The shed out back contained a nice 80 Series Kenmore top...

    Pushed into Medium Spin Speed....

After all the horror stories I've read about bearing failures on the Whirlpool Duet's, I've felt obligated into putting my 2 year old front loading Duet 9150WW on a Medium spin speed. I believe this is 1,000 RPM's. High spin is 1,200 RPM's, if I'm correct. Am I wrong for doing this? Am I...

    For Your Viewing Pleasure....

Here's a YouTube video of my '96 Tag with some agitation and a spin. Please excuse the somewhat choppy video...was recorded with my Droid. Not very many suds in the wash water either as I'm still using up the HE detergent. This is my workhorse, normally washing my work uniforms twice a week...

Belt Drive vs. Direct Drive FL's.... As Jsneaker commented above, he feels a direct drive front loader is "better" then a belt driven one. I have to disagree with this. I think if some kind of drive system failure were to occur, a belt driven system would be much easier to work on. Am I...

    Whirlpool WFW9150WW & WED9150WW feedback? Buyers remorse.

Exactly.... Most people when writing a product review will get online and do it when they are PISSED off becuase something is "wrong" with it. When the product is working pefectly fine, you usually don't see any reviews. Aaron

    Whirlpool WFW9150WW & WED9150WW feedback? Buyers remorse.

I own that Model I own that washer, WFW9150WW, and couldn't be any happier. I've owned it for almost 2 years now, and I've had no issues with it whatsoever. I do leave the door open after using, so I've never had any mold or stink issues. Trust me, you made a good purchase! I personally wipe...

    Dependable Care Question.....

I've just noticed on my 16 year old Maytag washer a few small rust spots developing on the bottom side of the outer wash basket. I'm just curious if this is something that should be taken care of now, or can go for awhile? I have no idea on how thick the steel is on the bottom of the tub...

    Question about Water Fill Level......

My question is this: Is there a way I can bump the water fill level up at all? Another 2 inches of water makes ALL the difference with decent turn over in this machine. I can stand there while it fills and hold the water level switch in the "reset" position, but it's getting to be a PITA...

    Back in business!

So I got my new damper pads in the mail today, and got them replaced. Was actually a pretty easy job to do, dealing with the springs was the worst part of the job. Seems like I caught the problem just in time, and there was no gouging to the zinc aluminum dome. I absolutely love the...

    Question for redcarpetdrew....

Well, I'm gonna have to change those damper pads on my Maytag that you pointed out to me. Could you give me a rough idea of what I'm going to have to do to get to the damper? It would be greatly appreciated! Aaron

Picked up a Maytag Dependable Care for FREE!

Well.... there is some black dust towards the back of the cabinet where the other piece of felt lays. Where exactly did these come from? I don't know Maytag's all that well, more of a Whirlpool guy. Aaron

Some more pics.... Popped the front panel off today....looks very clean and no leaks! My question is this: does anyone know what that piece is laying right beside the motor? There was another piece towards the back of the cabinet also. It is felt.

It sure is..... It is a great machine! I've ran a few loads through, and it does well! I wish the rinse time was longer, but oh well. Its basically going to be my machine for my work uniforms that get somewhat greasy and for dirty clothing from yard work. I really appreciate being able to get...
