Just bought this harvest gold Maytag center dial model HA606 washer for $24.99 at our local Salvation Army store. Can anyone give me a date of manufacture on it? It is serial number 658944WM Series 01. Thanks in advance for your kind help. Brian.

I grow Tomatoes and Peppers in my Amana Wringer..... It was not the most desireable machine in the first place when it did work.....Now if it had been a Maytag or an older Speed Queen or Kenmore Visi-Matic...I would never have done this to it....

Cleaned the rollers and checked the belt....... Rollers were quite dirty but cleaned up nicely, showing no real signs of wear as far as I can see. Checked the deflection of the belt and it appears to be proper and the belt looks in great condition. It is ten of midnight now so I will test run...
