I found a blue wire on the right side of the timer that was loose. I took a pair of needle nose pliers to tighten down the "crimp" (not sure the correct terminology). The dryer fired right up and I let it run for about 40 minutes. I'll know more in the next few days if that seemed to fix it...

I’ll be going back over it tonight after work. Is it normal for there to be a gap at the top part of the drum on the inside?

Unfortunately I must have had something wrong even tho it seemed to run just fine. It just stopped in the middle of the second load and won’t even try to start.

Good Morning! I am finally getting around to working on this Kenmore clothes dryer, model 110.96581120. I have replaced the belt, both drum rollers, the rear felt on the drum and the front felt on the front panel. I put it all back together and the drum still seems to be sagging in the rear...

I also loved that Body on the Kenmore DD's. My mom had the Kenmore Elite set in bisque like that. The dryer has survived but the washer is long gone sadly.

Has anyone ever seen a Whirlpool dryer of this style? It looks like a Kenmore body with a Whirlpool name. Have never seen one before.

Haha! She bought them new in 1994. I would have been 9 years old. I just replaced its original set of hoses. She needs me to work on the dryer next. The felt is falling out.

That was exactly the problem. Hope it didn’t mess anything up but it’s as quiet as ever now after fixing it.

What did I do wrong?! Well, the leak is gone but when the machine brakes, I now have a noise I didn’t have before. I removed the agitator and same noise.

I remember a post where someone had pictures showing how it was done, but I can’t find it. On the toggle switch, does anyone know what amperage switch to buy? I remember buying one at that time but I can’t find it. Attached the link from Home Depot with the various options...

That's a neat looking machine, I remember seeing its matching dryer for sale new at a furniture store in South Arkansas. They didn't have the matching washer incidentally.
