It's the motor or the switch on the motor. My Boss sold me a Maytag Nuptune set, Its crazy how something much newer has many of the same design elements, even though they are used I think I like them...Now I can focus on my classic set without the nagging, lol. :)

I can check it out but if anything electrical needs replaced I'll have to talk to the landlord about it since i'm renting the house.

Both the thermostats and the element tested fine and the timer acts like it it ok.
