    Victorian Oven

Can anyone give me some information on this range? It is electric but the burners have heating elements (the kind that look like a spring) set into the scroll work. The oven is pretty primitive, just has a lever to adjust temp. When you open the door under the burners, there's a cooking pot...

    Westinghouse Laudramat L4 48 motor

response to the humming you know, honestly, I don't remember exactly what the guy said about the humming, only that the he said it was not the motor but was related to water filling in the machine. Sorry for getting it wrong earlier but I think the reply that says it relates to the solanoid is...

    Westinghouse Laudramat L4 48 motor

update so my guy took out the capacitor and fixed it. And, a buddy of his turned him on to some 80+ yr old retired repairman that used to work on this machine. So my guy talked to the retired repairman who told him that the humming noise is from the water pump regulating the amount of water...

    Westinghouse Laudramat L4 48 motor

update Does not have a capacitor, this machine is from the 1940's. washer will fill with water and stop filling, but nothing happens after that....just hums. My repairman hotwired the motor and it does not run. He can repair or replace it, he just doesn't want to break something while he's...

    Westinghouse Laudramat L4 48 motor

I have a great repairman who is working on my machine and he's determined that the motor is bad. He wants to take it apart and see if he can fix it, but he's concerned that he might damage it without knowing the schematics of the motor. Does anyone have schematics that they can email me? Or...

    Westinghouse Laundromat L-4 48

no push/pull on this machine This machine only has a dial - to be turned off you set it at off, otherwise, when you simply turn the dial, that's what turns the machine on. I bought the timer service manual someone recommended - only to find out it's for a 1967 model and my washer is 20 years...
