re hoover elite hey ! i have one of these great machine does a great job! 25 years old and still going strong , the only thing ive replaced is the pump hoses. this model is prone to spin issues easy to fix though!

i bought one the same recently there are still a few in good condition but after years of storage they leak like a siv. also with a delux you get a nice shiney stainless tub! still trying to find a spin tub seal :(

i picked up a hoover twin yesterday that was purchased in 1972 , its leaks gallore leaking from the spin tub (hardest part to find now) sigh will post pictures soon

hey all have just had to buy a pump belt for my hoovermatic , its an australian made one model t1288, however the the set up the same. my pump spins easy with no trouble do you guys agree that the belts just had its day? frayed and broke or ? cheers tom

i have the same model twin tub . the t1288 (made in aussie) is a base model hoovermatic. they are very simple dont be afraid to pull the back off and have a look there is very little damage you can do.
